I think they did a great job with Li Mei in MK1 in terms of her moveset and her role in the story. But they could have put a lot more effort into her design.

Besides, her facial model is VERY BEAUTIFUL (for me she's the most beautiful female character after Kitana), but I wish she looked younger like the original Li Mei. Yes, I know she trained Kitana and Mileena and that's why she's older, but Outlanders/Edenians age more slowly so it would still make sense for her to be younger.

Sadly, I believe she would continue to be Shao Kahn's lackey and the punching bag for the rest of the group. But I would like to see her infiltrating the Earthrealm and impersonating Kitana, since she has a blue skin that looks exactly like Kitana when she's wearing the mask, and we saw in the dialogues that she can perfectly imitate Kitana's voice.

I also wish we had at least had her revenge against D'Vorah and Kotal.

I think she's so beautiful, and I love how her voice sounds in story mode when she's still human, without the Tarkatan forced voice.

I wish that in the gameplay, they would keep her human and during some attacks she would "transform" like Reptile does, changing form during the fight. The tarkatan mouth could appear in the fatalities and fatal blow only, I think it would make more sense since it uses the treatment serum after one of the rounds.

And hearing the dialogue before combat in her "normal" voice would be much more enjoyable, in my opinion.

I wish they'd had that kind of dynamic on the show; she could have helped him get off drugs, saving him could have helped her save herself.

The biggest wasted potential of Gossip Girl in my opinion (especially when it comes to Jenny's romances). 💔
