A possible link between the US–Iran MoU of giving US$300bn for damages in Iran with frozen assets of Russia?

The MoU signed between US and Iran just the other day mentioned in one of the points that the US will provide Iran with US$300bn in the coming years for the restoration of Iran.

But surprisingly, I see no one has talking about the number being suspiciously close to the total amount of frozen Russian assets in US and Europe. Quoting from Wikipedia,

>The G7 countries plus the European Union announced in May 2023 that the approximately $300 billion (€275 billion) in Russian Central Bank assets that had been frozen in these countries would remain frozen "until Russia pays for the damage it has caused to Ukraine,"[5][8]

And it is fairly well known that Russia has extensively supported Iran with military firepower and intelligence, even if behind the scenes and purely transactional, in exchange for supplying drones (and maybe other stuff too?) to Russia in the Russia–Ukraine war (read: special military operation).

In any case, with the MoU signed between the US and Iran, can there be a possible link of this with Russia, in that this is an indirect attempt by Russia to get back their frozen assets through Iran? Or would this be mere speculation and a coincidence? 🤔

Hans and Gukesh both had a good tournament

The only two to have come out of the event with net rating gain for both formats. Looking forward to the world championship for sure. It will be a tough match for both Gukesh and Sindarov, I'm sure.
