How to repair this plasterboard
Hello,
We have this situation in most of the rooms in our house where we removed the wallpaper and found that the old plasterboard (we think 40+ years old) has a grid of cracks. Most sounds "solid" when knocked but a few areas e.g. half of a couple of the squares sound hollow.
Would appreciate some advice! Do we a) tape and fill cracks (do we need to secure hollow sections with screws?), b) cut out hollow sections (and patch with new plasterboard?) then tape/fill, or c) repair the whole wall
We are living in the house so don't want too much mess, but equally don't want to do half the work and then need to redo it in just a few years.
Thanks!
