Am I the only one who found Hirose’s behavior here super rude and uncalled for?

Am I the only one who found Hirose’s behavior here super rude and uncalled for?

I know the intention is anime comedy, but I think Hirose is really rude here. Nakamura has social anxiety and a social phobia, he is trying his best, and Hirose lashes out at him just to save himself because he is embarrassed. He doesn’t consider Nakamura’s feelings at all. And he doesn’t even apologize later, he acts like nothing happened.

I think an easy way to fix this scene would be to make Hirose panic when Nakamura freezes up, and instead of reacting with anger, he reacts out of desperation and slaps him to snap him out of it. Then later he apologizes for overreacting and buys Nakamura a drink.

Do you think people would hate Yuki as much as they do today if he was a girl?

I know Yuki does some questionable things throughout the series, and that contributes a lot to people disliking him, but I have the impression that people would be more forgiving towards him if he was a girl. Yuki doesn’t fit the typical male stereotype in fiction where a man is always expected to be brave and protective, regardless of the trauma he goes through or his age. I think Yuki’s fear during the death game and his need to be protected by Yuno (someone who is clearly not normal and by far the strongest figure around him) is actually pretty realistic.
