Dry Cleaning Store Ruined My New Balance 9060 Suede Shoes and Refusing Compensation

Recently I gave my very new New Balance 9060 purple suede shoes for cleaning to a local dry cleaning/shoe cleaning service. Before giving them, the shoes were perfectly fine with proper purple suede overlays. After their cleaning process, the entire purple colour was gone and the suede turned white/faded.
When I confronted them, instead of accepting responsibility, they started saying it is a “manufacturing defect” and that this issue is “very common”. But the funny thing is — the shoes were completely fine before cleaning. The damage happened only after their service.
I requested reimbursement because:
• the shoes were very new,
• these were my first branded shoes,
• and honestly we cannot afford to buy such expensive shoes again easily.
I tried talking politely and professionally multiple times. At first they kept replying, but after I asked for reimbursement properly, they completely stopped responding.
I even told them:
“If this was really a manufacturing defect, why did the discoloration happen only after your cleaning process?”
No proper answer till now.
I have:
• before/after photos,
• purchase invoice,
• cleaning receipt,
• chat screenshots.
I’m planning to raise a complaint through National Consumer Helpline now.
Has anyone faced something similar with suede shoes after dry cleaning? Also, if anyone has experience with consumer complaints against such services in India, please let me know what happened and how long it took.

Lost HSBC credit card, replacement came with same number and CVV. Is this safe?

Reference to my previous post

I lost my HSBC credit card while travelling few days back. As soon as I noticed, I immediately turned off all services from the HSBC app.

After that, I even got an SMS saying one transaction was declined due to wrong PIN entry, so definitely someone found the card and tried using it.

Now HSBC sent me a replacement card, but surprisingly the card number is exactly same and even the CVV is same. Only expiry date changed.

I am confused now. If I activate this new card and enable tap/payments again, will the old lost card also start working since both have same details?

I thought replacement cards usually come with completely new number and CVV if the old card is lost. Especially in my case where somebody already tried using it.

Has anyone faced this with HSBC India before? Should I ask them again for a totally fresh card with new number?

Lost HSBC Credit Card While Travelling-Someone Tried Using It Today

I lost my HSBC credit card while travelling around 2 days back. The moment I realised it was missing, I immediately disabled/switched off all card services from the app for safety.

Today, I got an SMS saying a transaction was declined because of an incorrect PIN attempt. So clearly someone has found the card and tried using it.

Now I’m confused about the next steps. If I apply for a replacement card, will the old card get permanently deactivated automatically? Or is there anything else I should do immediately?

I also googled this and saw a few people saying I should file an FIR/police complaint for lost cards. Is that actually necessary in this situation or only if there are fraudulent transactions?

Would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has faced this before, especially with HSBC cards in India.
