I honestly don’t want to be next the director of audit or CFO, just want a decent job and live a nice life.
I’m currently in industry at a F50 company doing internal audit (Sox) for 5 years out of college. I feel stuck and recently received an offer for EY senior digital risk consulting in a VHOL city in the west coast. I want to join for a year or two to boost my resume but at the same time have a cushy remote job making 110k. This new offer is 150k.
Any tips or advice? Will joining for 1-2 years open more opportunities?
I have 5 years of experience as in SOX IT auditor at a F50 company. Over the past 5 months, I prepared using Prabh Nair YouTube videos/Hemang Doshi Udemy course and took notes for both. I will have ChatGPT consolidate all my notes and clean up.
What should I do next? Jump into QAE? Watch Peter Zerger CISA prep on YouTube? CRM?

I’m 29M born and raised in the west, I’ve been looking for potential for a few years now but haven’t had any luck. Alhumdulillah I’m decent looking, have a good job, investments, etc. I do have non negotiable’s and things I’m looking for in a spouse, such as deen, upbringing, career, etc. I did meet a few potentials that I found on my own but didn’t work out for various reasons.
The issue is that my parents are seeing all their friends kids get married and have children (most of them got married at 23-27) and are panicking. They’re stressing out everyday and mom is looking for anyone and asking anyone which scares me since it’s out of rush. Even my mom’s behavior changed and she seems sad and disappointed that I’m not married yet. We don’t even laugh and have good times like we did in the past. I hear them making Dua and are constantly panicking.
What should I even do? I know it’s up to Allah but sometimes i feel like I want to move to a different city and found someone on my own so I can get to know them before committing.

Is it worth leaving and joining as an experienced hire?
I currently work in industry for a top tech company doing SOX auditing. I’ve been here for 5 years and didn’t do any big4 experience. In my job I mostly do ITGCs, SOC1, and other SOX activities. Since I don’t have big4 experience, will CISA help with my current experience?
I joined a top tech company in Silicon Valley straight out of college for an internal audit role because the company is really prestigious.
Most of my work has been IT SOX, and I regularly work with external auditors. Now that it’s been a few years, I’m starting to feel like I maybe should’ve joined Big4 for the resume recognition and career growth.
Did I miss out? Or can I just get my CISA and look for other industry jobs?
