Can I decline Geek Squad replacement?

I have a 5-year Geek Squad Protection Plan on my TV that expires August 24, 2028, paid $842.38. A tech came out for dead pixels, said it's beyond repair, and approved a replacement. The problem is, I have a specialty 360 degree rotating mount that cost $350 and took 3 people to install Geek Squad wants $200 to dismount and $300 to remount a new TV. That's $500 out of pocket just for the swap.

I'd rather keep my current TV and avoid the whole hassle. The pixels are noticeable but not unbearable since I watch TV very little.

My questions:

  1. Can I push back and request a repair attempt instead of replacement?
If repair isn't possible, can I get partial store credit instead of a full replacement? I would be okay getting a partial refund while keeping the TV.

  2. The emal says I have 90 days deadline September 1 2026)to call, or until my plan expires, whichever comes first. My plan doesn't expire until 2028, so the 90-day window is the binding deadline. If I ignore this for now, hoping the dead pixels don't spread, can I open a new claim later, or am I locked out once this 90-day window closes?

  3. Has anyone navigated this with Geek Squad? What are my realistic options?

Please help as I would rather not get in the hassle of scheduling techs to come and repair it as its in my parents home and they are elderly.

Questions on Secondary inspection with Global Entry ?

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone here has been sent to secondary inspection even with Global Entry. I sometimes travel for more than 2 months, and I work remotely while abroad, but my job is fully okay with it. I’m trying to see if long trips or remote work have ever led to extra questions for anyone when coming back. I know every case is different, so I’m mostly just trying to get a better idea of what to expect.

If this happened to you, what did they ask? Did they focus on how long you were out of the country, your work situation, or where you were staying? Did they ask about your employer or ever contact your workplace? Also, how long did secondary take, and did Global Entry help at all?

I would appreciate if those who have had this can tell me what questiosn were asked.
Thanks
