Need honest opinion on this situation
| (28F) met a guy from a dating app. We went on first date, got along well, and ended up being intimate. After that, things became confusing. I questioned him for a clarity and he said he just wanted to be friends. Later after some time he initiated sexting and talked about wanting to sleep with me again. He also planned a trip to my city, so l assumed we'd meet.
When he came to my city, he stayed in touch, sent snaps, and updated me about his plans. But when I brought up meeting, he said it would be a "bad idea." Eventually he told me to "move on," said goodbye, and later removed me from Instagram.
What I'm struggling to understand is: if he genuinely wanted distance, why continue the flirting, sexting, and discussions about being intimate again before the trip?
Does this sound like someone who was only interested in the physical side? Or someone who was attracted but didn't want the emotional complications?
The honest truth is that I would still like to reconnect with him at some point, and that's probably why I'm trying to understand what happened here. Am I missing something obvious?
