AIO for wanting to know bf’s debt

I 26f and (now ex) 29m just broke up yesterday and I’m having a hard time trying to figure out if I am overreacting or not. We were together for about a year and decided to move in together. We moved into the apartment last week and randomly he told me he was considering filing for bankruptcy AFTER we got a place together. I asked him why and he said because he had “a looooot of loans under his name”. I asked him how much? Not because I want to shame him, but I genuinely saw a future with him and wanted to be able to work through it with him- possibly help make payments. He said he didn’t know how much. I asked him if he could find out for me to which he said “I’m definitely not doing that right now”. I said, can you do it soon? To which he replied “someday”. I felt like he didn’t see the importance of the situation at all. I’m not on the lease thankfully, but we have talked about marriage together and I felt like this was something I needed to know. We broke up because he said “we’re moving too fast” and “he doesn’t need to share this information with me”. He gave me an ultimatum- accept that he won’t tell me or break up. I chose to break up. Am I doing too much? I genuinely can’t tell if I am because he was very angry with me for wanting to know, but I also feel like it’s valid for me to know if we’re genuinely planning to grow together. Thoughts? Thank you for reading my long ramble

Btw I know it’s in the past now and I should just move on, but I felt very invalidated and crazy and I am honestly wondering if maybe I’m just overthinking this whole scenario.
