Anthropology, sociology, or psychology: how do you choose one?

If you’re interested in human beings, how do you decide on an approach?

Sociology studies humans as part of society, psychology as individuals, but there’s also social psychology. And anthropology seeks to study human beings in their full context.

But I don’t know, an anthropologist or sociologist might always be missing the psychological perspective. And perhaps a psychologist lacks the social context and is too biased toward the clinical ideas and biases of their time.

But the other day, for example, I asked a question here on AskAnthropology about the process of dehumanization, and the moderator and users themselves redirected me to AskPsychology. So, can psychology contribute something that anthropology cannot?

For someone who wants to pursue research, which discipline would you recommend?

Dehumanization: How Does It Work?

I’d like to explore this mechanism further; it would be helpful if you could either respond to me or recommend some good resources (books, papers).

Dehumanization: How Does It Work?

I find this to be a very curious and troubling phenomenon. I’m referring to the human capacity to stop seeing other people as human beings. It occurs in certain political situations, wars, etc.

I’d like to explore this mechanism further; it would be helpful if you could either respond to me or recommend some good resources (books, papers).

Non-anthropocentric theologians

Hi, I'm looking for good reads about people who have pushed the boundaries of their religion, especially Christianity, but all religions, beyond anthropocentric limits. When you read this, which people came to mind first?

And if you'd like to share your thoughts, can Christianity extend beyond humanity? Or is it, because of the mystery of the Incarnation, definitively bound to the human race?

Thanks for your answers.
