With Gavin McKenna's selection, the Leafs now have 5 first overall picks active within the organization

It may not be relevant or meaningful, but I find it interesting nonetheless. The list is as follows:

  1. Gavin McKenna, drafted 2026, Toronto Maple Leafs, signing rights

  2. Auston Matthews, drafted 2016, Toronto Maple Leafs, active roster

  3. John Tavares, drafted 2009, New York Islanders, active roster

  4. Mats Sundin, drafted 1989, Quebec Nordiques, Senior Advisor of Hockey Operations

  5. Wendel Clark, drafted 1985, Toronto Maple Leafs, community ambassador
