VINTED BANNED ME (AUTHENTICITY DISPUTE)

I had a buyer raise an issue on 29/05/2026. This was regarding authenticity concerns on one of the Ralph Lauren polos I sold. Their written complaint mainly referred to the quality, collar and labels rather than identifying any specific authenticity flaw. The original listing already showed clear photographs of the neck tag, fit tag and internal care labels before he went ahead with the purchase, and I genuinely believed the shirt was authentic when I listed it as nothing screamed ‘FAKE’ on it. This is the only authenticity dispute I’ve ever had, and prior to this my account had a history of positive 5-star feedback. I’m trying to understand whether Vinted’s decision was based on objective evidence of the item being counterfeit, or simply because authenticity couldn’t be verified from the information available. Furthermore, while my account was restricted I was still able to check my email and noticed multiple disturbing messages that had come in from the buyer which I was unable to reply to, and this convinces me that the shirt may have been too small for him so he raised it under ‘authenticity concerns’ because he knew Vinted would side with him on it. I’ve attached photos of everything for extra clarity

Has anyone been in a similar situation or successfully appealed a decision like this.

MOVING VINTED ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER DEVICE

My main Vinted account recently got banned at the start of the month (still waiting on appeal to be review), 2 days after the ban I made a second account on another iPhone and that got banned the next day, then I switched to a 3rd account (my sisters account on her android, which has been active since April). I’ve warmed it up and fulfilled multiple sales and just yesterday vinted unbanned the second account on my iPhone and I was wondering whether I can log out of that account on the iPhone and log into my sisters account, purely because I can’t stand androids and the details are different on each account anyway. Let me know what you guys think and whether this is safe since Vinted had just unbanned me on that account and phone with an apology.

VINTED ACCOUNT INFO

My Vinted has been banned, which had all my details, my phone number, my bank, my email, my name, passport verified etc, since then I’ve been using my sisters account which has been active months before my account got banned and I’ve also been using it on another device with completely different details to my banned account. I’m planning on making this my new main account and listing all my stock onto it, can I change the name on the account to my own name right after hitting 30 sales/£1000 in sales so I can use one of my own ID’s for verification and tax purposes.

Hoping someone would guide me a little here as I don’t want to run into any trouble again with getting banned again but I also want the freedom of my business running in my own name rather than using somebody else details

VINTED BAN DISCUSSION

What are yall doing if Vinted bans you and you make a new account in a family member’s name, then how do y’all go about doing your taxes and verifying your national insurance and ID in this situation?

NEW VINTED ACCOUNT INFO

I’ve setup a new account on another device and I’m trying to ship an order but when I go to get shipping label I receive a popup asking to fill in some extra info, the account is in one of my family members name so should I put their details here, and my usual address. Also the account doesn’t yet have a bank connected to it but I’m planning to connect a bank that’s already in my name. What’s the correct approach here if anybody knows, thanks again

VINTED REPLIED TO MY BAN

Hiya everyone
Recently I was permanently banned for what Vinted originally described as “illicit activity” and “probable fraud.”
For several days I received very generic responses and nobody would explain what activity they were referring to.
Eventually, after repeatedly asking for clarification, a support agent told me that the restriction was related to what Vinted considers misuse of the “damaged in transit” reporting and refund system.

My side of the story:
-buy a lot of collectible Lego sets.
-For many of these purchases, the condition of the original box matters because some sets are collected, displayed, or gifted.
-Before shipping, I would often ask sellers to package sets securely because damaged boxes are a common problem.
-When items arrived with crushing, tears, dents, or damage that differed from the listing photos, I reported those issues through Vinted.

The most recent case involved a Lego Venom figure set where the box arrived with visible tearing and crushing that wasn’t shown in the listing photos.
(I’ve included more evidence in the comments under this post)

What confuses me is that:
Last month I was banned for the exact same reason.
That previous ban was overturned after investigation.
Vinted reinstated my account and apologised for the inconvenience.
Because of that reinstatement, I genuinely believed I was using the platform correctly.
I then continued using Vinted in the same way and was permanently banned after another damaged item report.

I have never intentionally tried to obtain items unfairly, misuse refunds or cause losses to sellers.
If Vinted expected returns instead of reports in these situations, I would have followed whatever process they wanted had it been explained to me.

My questions:
-Has anyone here been banned for the same specific reason and successfully overturned the ban
-Could Vinted have used automated pattern detection for this type of decision?
-Has anyone had success through Vinted Legal, GDPR requests, or other escalation routes?
I’m genuinely trying to understand whether I’ve misunderstood the platform’s expectations or whether something else may have triggered this.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again to everyone

Permanently banned from Vinted for “probable fraud” but never told what I actually did wrong

Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Vinted for quite a while, buying and selling regularly, building positive feedback, communicating with buyers and sellers, and generally trying to follow the platform rules.

Recently I received a Lego set that arrived with damage/tearing on the front that wasn’t visible in the seller’s original listing photos. I opened a claim through the normal Vinted process as “parcel damaged in transit” and uploaded photos showing the damage.
Shortly afterwards, my account was permanently restricted.

They keep coming back to me with “probable fraud” and violation of Vinted’s Terms and Conditions as the reason
I’ve appealed multiple times and every response keeps saying that the decision remains the same. However, nobody has explained what the alleged fraud actually relates to

I’ve also contacted them regarding my data rights and am currently waiting for a response.
What confuses me most is that I’ve never knowingly tried to deceive anyone, sell counterfeit goods, manipulate transactions, or do anything I believed would violate the rules.

Has anyone experienced the same situation without being told exactly why and have you managed to ever get further clarification afterwards?

Is there anything I can do or somebody I can contact beyond the standard appeal or email route
Thanks in advance everyone

VINTED BANNED ME AGAIN

Hiya all,
I’m hoping someone here has been through something similar and can offer some advice.
I’ve just recently been unbanned last month after Vinted restricted my account was for “ilicit activity”
They later unbanned me after 7 days and apologised for the inconvenience
I’ve had a Vinted account for a long time with a strong history of buying and selling. I’ve always tried to follow the rules, communicate with buyers and sellers properly, and work with support whenever issues came up.

A few days ago on Friday I received a LEGO set that arrived damaged/torn on the front compared to the listing photos, and even the seller agreed that it wasn’t like that before it left their possession. I opened a case through the normal Vinted process and uploaded photos of the damage.
Shortly afterwards, my account was permanently blocked. They reviewed it for further investigation and today they told me the reason given was “probable fraud and violation of Vinted’s Terms and Conditions”.

I submitted an appeal and explained the situation, but I’ve now received a response saying the decision remains unchanged. The problem is that I’ve never been told what specific activity, transaction, or behaviour led to the fraud finding.
I’ve attached screenshots in the comments of:
-The original case I opened regarding the damaged item.
-The message confirming the permanent ban.
-The appeal outcome.
I’m not claiming the damaged item case caused the ban, but the timing is what has left me confused.
Has anyone had a permanent ban overturned after an appeal was initially rejected and has anyone successfully obtained clarification about what Vinted believed they had done wrong?
Any advice on what steps are realistically available after the appeal process would be appreciated

All said and done my people, we’re back in business. What a roller coaster these last 6 days but this was inevitable, all praise to our lord and saviour Jesus Christ, wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t spoken to him about it🙏❤️
