Genevieve's prescience (i.e., ways Genevieve was right)
Looking back at Season 50, you have to give Genevieve credit for some really good Survivor instincts. I hope she has a third chance.
- Preseason, Genevieve predicted that Joe would be a difficult player to vote out of the game. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr5AVrtytmI). In this video, EW asks players pregame whom they would vote out first. Genevieve picks Joe. She correctly reasons that Joe has a reputation for being loyal, that he will be attractive to both new era and old era players, and that he will be "one of the most difficult players to vote out of the game." This turned out to be true. I don't think Joe's going to get voted out. He doesn't seem like a top 5 target. At this point, Joe is probably not being voted out because people perceive him to be a zero vote finalist. Still, except for early on on Cila when he was briefly targeted, Joe has never really been in the crosshairs.
- Aubry is "very dangerous," had an idol, and needed to be targeted. Genevieve correctly clocked that Aubry had an idol. She correctly judged that Aubry was a dangerous player and needed to be targeted. This proved true: Aubry may win.
- Ozzy would be blindsided with an idol in his pocket. While this was a logical choice (it has happened before), the odds of Ozzy being blindsided with an idol in his pocket initially seemed pretty low. But it ended up happening!
- Christian was playing her in the Blood Moon. At first, Genevieve seemed to be making a mistake in thinking that Christian would conceivably vote out Devens. But Christian is actually a surprisingly good liar, and has blindsided allies quite well. She correctly perceived, though, that her only chance was her shot in the dark. It didn't take a genius to figure that out, but she was right to play it, unlike Angelina who did not play her shot in the dark when she should have.
