Icon in Maya toolbox prevents window resizing – how to remove it?

Hi! icon in my Maya toolbox is blocking the UI, making it impossible to resize the main window smaller. I can't find how to delete or remove this icon from the layout.

Has anyone solved this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

If you ever run into the same issue, keep in mind that you can tweak the MEL scripts to remove whatever is bothering you. In my case, it was inside the toolbox.mel script

Maya 2026 - Texture is applied per face instead of following UVs

Hi everyone,

I'm having a strange issue in Maya 2026 and I can't figure out what's causing it.

As you can see in the attached image, the material/texture isn't being applied correctly to my mesh, even though the UVs are properly laid out.

It looks like the texture is being projected individually onto each face instead of following the UV map. Even if I move or edit the UVs, nothing changes on the mesh—the texture stays exactly the same.

The weird part is that other parts of the model are also affected by the same issue.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a setting I might have accidentally enabled, or something wrong with the mesh or material setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
