Google Ads Google Ads is experiencing issues right now (May 19, 2026)

Heads up for publishers & ad ops teams: Google Ad Manager is currently experiencing significant issues.

Symptoms reported:

  • Error messages
  • High latency
  • Unexpected behavior
  • Some networks unable to create or activate line items

Specific error:
“This change will exceed the number of active line items allowed”

Google says engineering identified the root cause and is working on a fix.
Currently no workaround.

Incident started around 12:06 UTC.

Another reminder that when delivery/reporting/platform behavior suddenly looks irrational… sometimes it actually is the platform.

Meta is redesigning their status page on May 18. Place your bets on whether outages actually get reported this time 🤣

Meta is giving Ads its own section on the status page starting May 18.
Previously buried under “Business Tools” next to the Horizon Device Manager, now Facebook Ads Manager, Marketing API,
Messaging Ads and friends get their own dedicated row of green checkmarks. A whole section just for ads outages! Progress 😵

The public numbers:

- Google Search & Other ads: $60.4B (+19% YoY)

- Alphabet US revenue: $54.0B (+23% YoY)

- YouTube ads: $9.88B (+11% YoY) (Missing Targets)

- Google Network: $6.97B (-4% YoY)

- Google Cloud: $20.0B (+63% YoY)

- 2026 capex guide: $180B-$190B

Also: management said 30%+ of Search customers now use AI Max or Performance Max. That's mainstream, but not majority. Are you using it?

Meta's Q1 earnings deck has one chart that feels more useful than the headline revenue number:

- US/Canada average price per ad: +14% YoY

- US/Canada ad impressions: +13% YoY

- Worldwide average price per ad: +12% YoY

- Europe average price per ad: +19% YoY

- APAC average price per ad: +5% YoY, with impressions +23%

Important caveat: Meta is not reporting CPC here. "Average price per ad" is not the same metric as CPC in Ads Manager.

Zuck need money to improve AI 😄
