Hey everyone — I’m a first-generation student and feeling a little confused about the timeline for everything. I got my LSAT score today, and I’m really happy with it! I’m planning to apply for law school for the next available cycle after I graduate this December (Fall 2026), but I’m unsure about when I should start each step of the process.

When should I begin:

Submitting applications

Applying for FAFSA

Looking for housing

Applying for jobs in case I don’t get in right away

If I apply in Fall 2026, would I typically be applying for Spring 2027 or Fall 2027 admission? And if there’s a gap between graduation and starting school, should I still complete FAFSA even if I won’t be enrolled for about six months?

Any advice or insight would really help — thank you!

That’s it I’m super stoked. I really happy. Still considering retesting for a 160+ but honestly idk if I want to go through all that again. Anybody get a similar score? Where are you applying to / got A’s at?
