Request letter received from IRCC

Hey All,

A few days ago, I had already submitted my spouse’s documents via a webform but today I received a ‘request letter’ from IRCC stating that I have to upload certain documents (most of ‘em were already submitted like IMM008, IMM5406, IMM5669, valid passport copy of spouse, marriage certificate, PCC, relationship evidence photos, etc.)

Now my question is that do I need to re-upload them again or just submit remaining documents which were not asked to submit earlier but are now like her photograph, her birth certificate, a relationship questionnaire and IMM5562E.

Email related query

I had uploaded 2 webforms for adding my spouse. I already got an email right away after sending those webforms but I got this below email again after 2-3 days later. Does this mean that the processing has already started? I still see ‘submitted’ as a status for my application with only my documents attached to it.

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We confirm having received your submitted documents and have attached them to the file, along with the information provided in your inquiry, for an officer to access and review.
Please note, as the webform you selected is reserved solely for submission of documents, any secondary enquiry you may have included will not be answered by IRCC. If applicable, we invite you to send a new enquiry by following these steps:
Submit a new IRCC Web form using the “Ask about or update your application”
Choose the type of request/enquiry you wish to submit
Do not select the “Add a document to your application” as this webform is solely reserved for uploading documents

URGENT!!

I am filling out the IMM0008 generic form (PR related) and in the highest education field, I am confused on what option is to be selected. I did my Bachelors (B.com) in India and did post-graduation diploma in Business Management from Canada. So what would be my highest level of education? If diploma, then what option do I select out of this - Highest level of education
None:

Secondary or less: High school diploma obtained after elementary school and before college, university, or other formal training.

Trade/apprenticeship certificate/diploma: Diploma completed in a specific trade, such as carpentry or auto mechanics.

Non-university certificate/diploma: Training in a profession that requires formal education but not at the university level (e.g., dental technician or engineering technician).

Post-secondary – no degree: Post-secondary studies at a college or university but no degree earned.

Bachelor’s degree: Academic degree awarded by a college or university to those who have completed an undergraduate curriculum. Also called a baccalaureate. Examples include a Bachelor of Arts, Science or Education.

Post graduate – no degree: Post-graduate studies at a college or university but no degree earned (Master or PhD).

Master’s degree: Academic degree awarded by a graduate school of a college or university. You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree before you can earn a Master’s degree.

Doctorate – PhD: Highest university degree, usually based on at least 3 years of graduate studies and a thesis. Normally, you must have completed a Master’s degree before you can earn a PhD.

Fees related query

I am adding my spouse to my PR application (express entry) after I received my AOR. I have already paid the total fees for myself but now I am wondering on how to pay for my wife and how much is to be paid because they have asked for a proof of payment too. Please let me know if anyone has any idea regarding this.

Adding spouse post AOR

Hey All,

I received below email after reaching out to IRCC through a webform.

Good day XYZ,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Please note that this email is a response to the enquiries found below this email.
If you are the principal applicant of a permanent residence application already in process, you could add your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children to your application, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependent in the initial application.
To do so, we invite you to send your add-on request by using the IRCC web form available on our website. You can attach the following forms and documents in the field reserved to that effect:
A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)* with supporting documents,
(If applicable) A Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form,
(If applicable) An Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form,
(If applicable) A signed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form,
A copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship,
A copy of the family member’s valid passport,
Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived for more than 6 months since turning 18,
A letter of explanation (indicate “Add-on” in your letter), and
If applicable, the proof of payment*.
Useful tips
If you need information to fill out the forms, please consult the Fill out the forms section of the instruction guide found in the application kit that you have initially used to apply.
If the newly eligible family member is a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child who is already a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, only a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship and a letter of explanation are required.
It may be impossible to add a member of your family to the application if a final decision has already been made.
We hope you will find this information helpful.
Your add-on request will be evaluated by the responsible office. You will be contacted when a decision will be made or if further information is required.
*if you have applied under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Programs (AIPP), please follow the instructions under Changes in family composition on our website.

QUESTIONS:

  1. What do I do next? I see 4 fillable-forms in the email, do I need to fill out all the forms?

  2. After filling out the forms, do I need to upload them through webform?

  3. Is there anything that needs to be done on the spouse’s end?

  4. Will the score be recalculated? I might be 4 points short from the cut-off (the cut-off was 514 and after adding my spouse’s information, the score got down to 510)

  5. Please let me know everything that needs to be done in advance.
