I have to leave Twitch streaming and gaming behind with all my gaming friends and it breakes my heart

I'm a little Twitch streamer and since I started streaming 2 years ago I have build up a 500+ follower stream, a little discord community with some nice and kind people gaming with me. I'm streaming/gaming 5 times a week with streams usually lasting 3 to 4 hours.

Now there are changes in my life, the situation with my family changed dramatically and now I have to support my mom and family who is living quite a distance away with chores being around etc. That means beside my beside my 9to5 job I won't have any time and strength to continue streaming/gaming anymore.

I will have to give everything up what I have built over these years including leaving all the nice people behind. I don't know how many people will leave my twitch or discord and seeing everything I have built decaying over time is breaking my heart.

Since I know this I'm constantly crying but I know I have to go this way.

Did you experience something similar or do you have something that could help me ? I'm thankful for any comment ❤️

What keeps me there are my gaming friends

People say gaming friends are not real friends. I have read that if you give up drinking first you stop drinking and second you are alone.

What keeps me tied is the good morning of people on my discord server, the viewers coming into my twitch chat and that get mirrored that people like me and what I do.

That is all online and although I sometimes see clearly what I miss in life throwing all these hours in gaming and streaming I'm still tightly tied to it.

I long for self improvement, real life friends and living a quiet minimalistic life. At the same time I fear the stillness and emptiness right after quitting.

I'm grateful for any of your views and thoughts 🌸

How many of you have 100+ viewers and still stay non-affiliate ?

I’d like to know how many of you fellow streamers could make use of the affiliate programme but have decided against it so far – and for what reasons?

As for me, I have over 500 followers and the obligation to show adverts is the main reason why I’ve stayed away from affiliate so far.

Addition question : Do you think affiliate could help boost your stream once you’ve reached a certain number of followers, and if so, in what ways ?

Thank you so much for your views 😊

Why do some scenarios have cooldown ?

It guess it's there to stop people from to much clicking ... at the same time it's quite frustrating to hit targets without getting registered. Is it to force some kind of clean and calm aim ?

Thank you for your thoughts.
