Composite door big price difference

We have had a quote to supply and fit a Rockdoor composite front door with a leaded and stained glass panel for £2600. A different company has just quoted £1700 for an almost identical design Hallmark composite door.

Both local firms but wildly different prices. Are Rockdoor a much better door and worth the price difference? Or is the second quote suspiciously cheap?

The more expensive quote is actually from the same firm that did our windows and they did a great job for a really good price so not going to dismiss them just yet but I need a good reason to pay an extra £900 for the Rockdoor.

Just checking I have my employment status correct.

Hi

I have been working for a private individual for 5 - 6 hours per week for the past 4 weeks doing cleaning and housework etc. This person also “employs” two other individuals on different days to do the same. I don’t have a written contract and the arrangement is quite informal. I am paid weekly direct to my bank account. I will need to put my earnings on my self assessment next year as this person is not doing PAYE.

Am I right in thinking that I am “employed” and not “self employed” here?
