Finally, we now know the upcoming schedule for this weekend's revived PaizoCon 2026! Saturday and Sunday will have several seminars from the Know Direction crew, as well as official Paizo staff, talking about some of their upcoming releases! Panels about the Luminary playtest, Absalom Station, Tech Core, and Impossible Magic are amongst the offers to see this year!

I'll make sure to watch these panels this weekend, and in case the fantastic u/The-Magic-Sword is unable to cover these panels, I can make a spoiler document about these panels later in the week.

But time to get excited! We almost missed it this year, but it's time to get hyped over PaizoCon 2026!

So someone noticed in the Pathfinder subreddit that Barnes & Noble, once again, leaked upcoming new book releases for Pathfinder 2E. So, I assumed they must've leaked something for Starfinder 2E as well. Sure enough, we got a leak overselves. The current Starfinder Society year's scenarios will be compiled into a level 1-5 Adventure Path, and will be set to release in April of 2027.

The description also mentions new backgrounds and ancestries, but they're likely the ones we've already gotten in the Player's Guide, but actually printed in the book. So, I guess look forward to some errata for those options, I guess?

It's that time of the year, once again! Paizo has put out their schedule for GenCon 2026, with there being a panel for the opening keynote, a panel for future PF2E releases, a panel for future SF2E releases, a creature-building panel for both games, and a panel focusing on Paizo's newest game, 13 Omens.

But that's not why you clicked on this Reddit thread, right?

So I noticed, each panel had a brief description detailing what would happen. Nothing really note-worthy was in the keynote's one, nor in the SF2E one (aside from EVEN MORE ancestries are coming). But I did notice a detail in the "Level Up Your Pathfinder Game" panel's description:

>Join Paizo designers and developers for a masterclass in enhancing your Pathfinder games with 2026’s newest releases. Dive into the mystical and magical with new classes, spells and fey mysteries, take your players into ship-to-ship combat, and more! Bring your questions for our panel of experienced GMs.

(The bolding was for emphasis, btw).

So it looks like we're getting details on some ship-to-ship combat coming in the future! If I were to speculate, this seems fitting to arrive in the "Risks and Rewards" book that will have the Daredevil and the Slayer. And that book should be out almost a year after SF2E's Tech Core will be out, so they'd be able to backport the tactical starship rules into PF2E's ruleset.
