I took two boots (shoes) in to replace the soles for the beige shoes and heel/toe replacement for the brown.

For the beige shoe, it seem to not be fully attached on the back. The quality of the material seems not quite inline with the rest of the shoe design.... Typing this, the entire sole actually wasnt replaced. It's also picking up dirt very easily. Finally, little details like a gap (indent?) between the new lighter attachment and the brownish old part is present, as well as cracking from the old part of the shoe (that really should've been replaced with everything). Worn maybe 4 times so far.

For the brown leather, there are parts coming apart that are meant to be new. Also, I've worn these for less than a few weeks total and the ware looks like I've been walking in them for 1+ years (I used to walk a lot, but drive more often so less walking to wear these out).

Nice enough to work with, but wonder if an apprentice worked on it? Or just rushed it? It took about a month to get them, I didn't pressure at all but I did have to call a few times being told "it'll be done in a couple of days" with no updates.

Is this to be expected quality wise? I've written it off as it's been about a month, but curious what other professionals have to say.

TIA

*Apologies in advance for any issues in describing parts correctly. not a cobbler or privy to general shoe anatomy

Rarely do I have a good experience with UPS. Wanted to send a pic of him pulling up to my partner before heading down, but he just kept on moving. Then got the delivery status update as he drove off. It's getting sent to a pickup location for collection tomorrow but really needed it delivered on time. Tried support but that was as useful one could expect.
