First date the day prior went well. We agreed to a second date and we were talking the next day. She asked me to buy her Baldur’s Gate 3. I said it was too soon. She threw this at me.
This is more just a vent than anything. This is not my first rodeo with mold. I (25f) have had severe mold poisoning throughout pretty much my whole life. This is my third environment that I’m probably going to have to emergency evacuate once my health issues come to a head. I would leave before that, but my pre-existing health issues have prevented me from working enough to be able to go anywhere else.
I moved into this camper nine months ago to get out of my car because it got too cold. Fast-forward through a really tough winter of this place flooding over and over. Pipes freezing, pillows freezing into the walls, floods freezing to the floor. Now, the summer brought humidity that rains down from the ceiling and walls pretty much all day every day. Even on the sunniest driest days. Not to mention it floods every single time it rains. This isn’t my camper, I’m just staying here. They have had tarps over the roof, they all blew off. They said they tried to fix the leaky roof a bunch of times to no avail. I still try to advocate as far as I can to get this place fixed, but it’s not mine. It’s falling on deaf, belligerent ears, and it’s honestly up to me to get the hell out at this point.
I started sleeping with my head where my feet go in the bed, because it was getting way too moldy, and it was literally waking me up in the middle of the night. My arthritis has flared up to the point where I can’t do my job anymore. I’ve had a sore throat for like a week (amongst a billion other symptoms) so I decided to really investigate since I can’t even see the mold. Turns out it got to the mattress. (less than a year old) Even if I totally removed the mattress it would still be too moldy in that area to sleep in. I run the AC and a dehumidifier all day every day and it somehow it barely makes a dent in the humidity. The camper is basically parked on a swamp.
I’m just complaining to complain because if I don’t, I start to implode. This time last year I was in my car and it’s disheartening that it’s happening again. This time two years ago, I was really really really sick from mold poisoning. I saw a horror movie level mold in that house I was in. The horrors are cyclic I guess. I moved a lot of my soft stuff into my storage unit today. Tomorrow I’m going to wash all my bedding, including my sleeping bag and stuffed doggy. I’m really sad. I had to put all my stuffed animals away in my storage unit. My health issues have exploded in severity recently. I’ve been regularly just laying on the ground holding my head because I’m in 11/10 pain. You ever see flashes of light because your heartbeat is in your eyes and teeth? I just can’t imagine doing that in my car. I think I’m getting off track. I have too much to complain about. Everything is bothering me all at once ya know? Time for ice cream.
Grabbed a cart at the grocery store and felt something soft and squishy ooze between my fingers (photo was taken after I used my shopping list to remove a lot of the gum). What kind of monster does something like this and why do some people have to suck so badly?
To make it worse, I was demonstrating to someone how amazingly-flexible these titanium-alloy frames are. You can bend them into a pretzel..... usually. Other than the timing, I can't really complain; they lasted 20 years. Thank you for your service old friend.
