Dragon Saddles

One thing I’ve loved about the show, in relation to the dragons, is how unique each saddle is. Each one seems to fit the characteristics of each rider and I love the details. Vhagar’s seems to be more practical since it’s the oldest, but it seems, starting with Vermithor and Silverwing, they started to get a bit more flamboyant (depending on the rider). Love these small attention to details. Major respect to the props department

Concept Art & Final Version of Aemond’s armour

Seeing the Behind the Scenes video, I love Aemond’s armour in this show. Feels dragon inspired while still entirely practical. And I don’t know why, but his helmet being modified to cover his sapphire is a really cool touch.

This to me feels like a set of armour that Aegon the Conqueror would wear. It has the dragon feel, but doesn’t show off unnecessarily and still feels completely practical. Major props to the costume department

SXSW London Panel

So I managed to attend the SXSW panel for Season 3 and had a great time. Everyone on the cast seems to love every moment they’re on set and involved in the production.

After seeing Abigail Thorn and Steve Toussaint talk about the rivalry between Lohar and Corlys, it makes me even more excited for the Gullet.

The thing that impressed me the most (beyond the footage they showed) was the statistics of season 3’s production.

15,000 stunt performers this season, 25 tons of propane tanks used for the dragon fire and a world record set of 23 stuntmen set on fire in a single take

Batman Beyond Suit Concept

This month, I commissioned the incredible artist Luis Filipe to collaborate on a redesign of Terry’s Batsuit.

The approach we decided on was to take the general idea from the show; that the suit is so high tech, that it almost looks simple again and modernise it.

Luis did a phenomenal job with the look of the suit and I’m beyond happy with the outcome. I also threw in a quick comparison to the suit from the animated series for reference.

Let me know what you think of the design we decided on. I’m going to commission him again to design the back of the suit very soon. Two pictures; one with the wings and one without

Please be sure to follow Luis on instagram @filipe_sca

Yes, the clue is in the title. I did a study of the sword she’s carrying in the trailer, and it’s not the sword she was seen with in S2. Looking at the pommel of this sword and hilt construction, it’s definitely Jace’s.

Jace’s has a flared, fishtail style pommel, a textured grip and a metal riser in the middle of the handle, all of which Rhaenyra’s sword has identically.

So I’m convinced after the Gullet, Baela recovers Jace’s sword and Rhaenyra wields it during the Fall of King’s Landing
