I was missing a part on my used NLR GT Lite seat, so I fixed it with 3D Printing

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a used Next Level Racing GT Lite cockpit and realized my wheel was tilting down during use no matter how much I tightened the locking knob behind the wheel plate.

Thanks to a reddit post I found out that there is a plastic toothed "washer" that is meant to go between the locking knob and the plastic bracket under the plate to prevent this from happening. After looking through pictures and videos I modeled a replacement part and put it on Printables for anyone to download. I never had the original part, so I made up some values, but it's working well and I wanted to share for anyone else who is missing this part.

I also made a couple videos going over the issue and somewhat detailed step-by-step on how I measured and designed the part for printing, including the multiple iterations it took to get the part to work.

Hopefully this helps someone out!

By the way if anyone who has this piece wants to share real dimensions I would gladly update my model.

Need help with voiceover videos

I started my channel a couple weeks ago. My videos are basically just screen/video recordings with voiceover that I record after the fact (because i felt like the audio quality was better that way). It was working ok for my first few videos because they were relatively simple and short.

My latest videos are a part 1-2 'how to 3d model and 3d print'. I discussed an issue I had then showed how to install the necessary 3d modeling software, as well as how to model the part, step by step.

The problem I'm having is that now I'm spending a crazy amount of hours trimming my screen/video recordings, then recording audio and splitting that to fit the trimmed video. I'm sure this is a skill issue that I want to fix ASAP, so I'm hoping someone with experience can help me reduce my post time.

i.e. Is it better to script everything beforehand so i can record audio and know exactly what to screen record (doesn't seem like it would work for detailed step by step videos)? Should I record the audio and video at the same time (concerned about audio quality)?

Any help would be appreciated.
