Aria is completely incapable

This is my third day of using WIX, so this might be really simple.

I have asked it to provide me with a table, because the individual element placements were too messy, now I want the table aligned to the picture, so that both are the same height. I have just completed this, it has taken nearly 90 minutes. That's on section on one page. Anyone know a quicker way. It won't give me handles for the table, so I can't do it myself.

Blogger picture uploading mess

Google have recently changed the way pictures are uploaded to Blogger. I wonder if this has to do with the policy changes to Google storage, making phone backups part of the free 15Gb. They clearly want people to buy storage.

Now this is what happens:

I click the upload from computer, then the screen above is displayed.

Then I select the picture by clicking browse, or by dragging and dropping.  The picture appears to upload, but it is never added to the blog.  It is not available in the 'Compose' or 'html' views.

I have tried this on Linux Mint and Ubuntu, using Librewolf, Firefox and Brave.  They are all the same.

I found a post on substack suggesting using a private (incognito) tab.

So, to use Blogger, I must now:

  • Start a Private (or Incognito) tab in my browser.
  • Visit Google.com and sign in.  Because the link to sign in on blogger doesn't always work
  • Visit Blogger, where I can create or edit my blog.

It really seems like Google don't want blogger anymore, which I hope is not the case because moving 20 years of blogs is a major effort.

Text extraction from picture

I have a picture of a rusty plaque, black raised block capitals on a white background. I want to get the text for a blog post. As this is the first time I've tried to do this with UBUNTU, I found an application, gimagereader, and installed it (and its dependencies). It that detected no text on the image.

So, I put the image on my phone and let google do it. Put the text into Joplin, synchronised, then back on Ubuntu, copied it into Libre office for a few corrections, before adding it into my blog

Could anyone recommend a better way, because that was too much faff.

Thanks
