R5ii Repair Advice - Complete Water Submersion

Hey folks, long story short, my R5ii got completely submerged in a fresh water river. We’re talking water under the LCD, on the sensor, in the battery compartment, everywhere. The camera was able to still turn on after drying but was stuck in a boot loop. The camera was sent in to Best Buy’s repair center under warranty and they’re claiming it’s completely fixed. Would you ever trust this camera again? What would you do in my situation? The current plan is to complain to a manager until they swap it for a new one. But if that doesn’t work, what would you do?

It’s my first ever super telephoto prime lens and it weighs in at a whopping 12 pounds! Just got it today and learning how to work around not having a zoom function as well as the sheer weight of the lens.

For context my main sports photography bodies are my 5D Mark IV and R5 Mark II. Would you consider the original 400mm sharp enough to resolve on high MP sensors? Was wanting to get more reach for low-light football games and it seems like a really good option for the price. I'm aware of the weight and parts-availability issues. Would you recommend something else/better for the ~3000 USD price range?
