Photomator vs Lightroom for Sony A7 IV RAW Files — Is the Difference Really Noticeable?

Has anyone here switched from Lightroom to Photomator for RAW editing with the Sony A7 IV?

I’m wondering if the RAW processing in Photomator is really that much worse compared to Lightroom, especially for noise reduction, colours, dynamic range, and detail recovery.

I love the simplicity and Apple integration of Photomator, but I keep seeing mixed opinions about its RAW engine.

For real-world photography — travel, lifestyle, landscapes, everyday shooting — is the difference actually noticeable? Or is Lightroom still significantly better for Sony RAW files?

Would love to hear from people who used both.

Am I Crazy ? Please tell me I’m not

Call me crazy… but I already own a Kindle Colorsoft Signature and just ordered the regular Kindle Signature Edition in black & white too. 😅

And honestly? I think they complement each other perfectly.
The Colorsoft is amazing for:
• comics and graphic novels
• magazines and cookbooks
• highlighting in color
• book covers finally looking alive

But there’s still something about the classic black & white Kindle display that feels incredibly sharp, calm, and distraction-free for long reading sessions. The text contrast just hits differently, especially at night.
I also feel less “precious” about throwing the regular Kindle in a bag or using it everywhere.
So now my brain has decided:
Colorsoft = immersive/fun reading
B&W Signature = pure reading machine

Please tell me I’m not the only one with multiple Kindles. 😂
