New premier league format?

10 players
Top 6 from Order of Merit
4 wildcards

Round robin league system

Each players plays everyone once over 9 weeks, they all play one game per night, first to 6 legs

You get 2 points for a win

After 9 weeks, the bottom 5 are out, 1st is through to the final of finals night and 2nd to 5th are also through to finals night

2nd plays 5th
3rd plays 4th
First to 6

The winners player each other, also first to 6

Then the winner of that plays 1st in the final which is first to 10

This format would stop players from doing multiple walk ons per night and playing the same players every week which gets incredibly repetitive and boring

Also makes it so there is no such thing as the winner of a night

I think there’s just too much darts in the premier league tbh, far too many nights and far too many matches, needs to be cut down as I personally think everything from week 10 onwards is just boring up until finals night

Should I enter a JDC Volts event?

I’m 17

Played darts properly for a couple years now just at home playing against mates or the online dartbot, I do best of 3, or best of 5 legs

started off averaging very low, could never get out of the 20s

Now I’m consistently averaging 40-45, obviously got the odd game where I fall into the 30s or even climb towards 50s

Was thinking about playing competitively and as I’m 17 this is my last year that I’m eligible for JDC and I’d rather get my first competitive legs under my belt against a 15 year old or something rather than a 60 year old with 50 years of experience

I expect that because it would be my first time playing competitively my average will drop by 5-10

Ik averages don’t mean much really as finishing is what wins games but what do people think

Should I try get it up a bit more just by playing at home or should I go?

Thoughts on this Premier League format?

I think 95% of people here will agree that the current format is shockingly boring

So I’ve thought of a new one

Top 10 on the Order of Merit after the WC, no wildcards, no arguments, simple to understand, no debates about who should or shouldn’t be in it

10 weeks including finals night

So first 9 weeks each player only plays 1 game, best of 12 legs so it can end level, throughout the 9 weeks everyone plays everyone once

2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss

This will avoid repetition and players walking on, playing, walking on, playing, walking on playing which gets boring very fast

So each player will play 9 games in the season and then after the end of the 9 weeks, 6-10 go out, eliminated

The 1st player goes automatically through to the final of finals night, whilst 2nd plays 5th and 3rd plays 4th, then the winner of them play each other and then the winner of that plays 1st

Have it on finals night best of 19 legs untill the final which is sets, first to 3

Thoughts?

What do people think of “The Day We Almost Died” episode?

It’s that perspective loop episode where we see how the near crash affected each individual involved

At least I think that’s the term for it

I personally quite like it as it is something different from usual but I have seen some negative comments about it

I know my board is on its last legs but I’d much rather wait until I absolutely need to buy one as they are ridiculously expensive

Is there a way to fix this or is it finished?

I’m gonna do about 12 slides and aim for roughly a minute per slide, obviously I don’t want to be reading off the board the whole time and will be saying extra things that aren’t on the board so how many words on each slide should I be doing?

I was thinking 30 ish but please let me know if I should do more or less
