Porsche Mission R Concept

I remember obsessing over the Mission R when it came out in 2021. At the time, the 718 replacement seemed destined to go electric and this felt like a pretty strong indication of what was coming. Still one of my favourite modern Porsche concepts. Futuristic, but still unmistakably Porsche.

I’ve put together a small Mission R collection in jigsaw puzzle form on Composed for anyone else who likes exploring the details.

Desert tree, night sky (3 of 3)

This image has such a calm, almost surreal feel to it. I haven't played it through yet but I think with the tree as a big anchor in the middle, the gradient in the sky and dunes and the subtle variations in the terrain, it would solve well at 500 pieces. Play here, image by Jpdvg.

Tree engraving (2 of 3)

We have a few little easter eggs in the trees at the foreshore near where I live, so this image resonates. I like images that solve better than you might suspect at first glance and I think this is one of those. A strong focal point, horizontal and vertical cracks and enough variation in colour and grain. Woman, piano (1 of 3)

Good puzzle images are like buses. Nothing for a while and then three come along all at once that make me say 'wow!'. Well, buses don't make me say wow, but you get the idea. I only share the Wows, so I have three to share today.

This one is all about the colour. The wall, the pop of the shoes, the slight grit of the setting. Chef's kiss. It's a bit soft in places, but overall it holds up really well as a jigsaw. Recommended for 200 pieces, but I think that undersells it by quite a bit. Solve here. Image by MDphoto.

Sandstone canyon

Beautiful image and just about a perfect puzzle at 300+ pieces. Defined colour regions, textures and lines galore! It's also an image that rewards time spent taking in the details of the image before you start. Image by nginnhong and you can play it yourself here.

Clash loading screen nostalgia (April 2019)

I remember how controversial this was when it came out. I think it may have been the first one where Supercell had an external artist do the loading screen and it was a big departure from any of the Clash art that came before it. It (and CoC art generally) actually works really well as a jigsaw puzzle. You can try it and some other Clash art out here. The artwork was done by Enrique Fernandez. Personally, I love it.

Funky alien street art in West End, Brisbane

My partner and I have been running around Brisbane, Australia lately snapping pics of street art. This one is in West End. It's a mural in West End, Brisbane, Australia. The colours and quirkiness make the puzzle. The detail means it works well at larger sizes. Play here.

There's just something about Studio Ghibli's imagery that draws you in. I found this to be a really calming image as a jigsaw. You can try for youself here along with some others from the collection.
