My $2 Collection Since January
I’ve been collecting Australian coins since January and this is what I’ve come across so far!
24 TSIs and not a single Aboriginal Flag… A nice 2005 rim error as well.

This instrumental is so heavenly, it isn't talked about enough.
Loonatic is already one of my favourite songs in existence, and hearing the instrumental standalone is just so mesmerising. I hope ARTMS will rekindle this sound at some stage.
Received a very dirty 20c coin in change today…
My first silver coin 🙂
In this condition it’d only be worth melt, would it be worth cleaning it or just leaving it as is?
My first 2014 remembrance 🙂
I'm not even talking about the eBay scalpers and those entering the ballots just to sell on Facebook Marketplace a day later.
I've seen a ton of people online get 10s of rolls of $2 coins just to pick out and sell all the coloured ones online, without collecting any for themselves.
What even is the point of this? After the time it's taken you to get to the bank, get the rolls, get home, go through them, list the ones you find online, return the normal coins, then post whichever ones have sold, you'd be making $5-6 an hour at most (then eBay fees, fuel costs, etc).
It makes the hobby so much harder for the rest of us (1 keeper every 4 rolls if I'm lucky) and doesn't even make sense economically if you're not interested in the hobby itself, just the resale.
Went in the afternoon, 5/6 post offices sold out but the last one had a bunch left!
What did everyone else get?
Same deal as last time... Insane popularity
