I found a fancy rat on the streets (need help)

My dad found this rat outside on the streets near the parking lot. We put him temporarily in this container because we have nothing else.
He's in a horrible condition right now he's so skinny
I got him some fruit and veggies and got him some chew sticks.
But he has a lot and I mean a lot of fleas we tried washing him a little with puppy shampoo and a lot of them came out but I still see them crawling and I don't wanna stress him out by repeating this I tried looking at videos on how to wash them correctly but still
he was probably abounded and id rather he won't stress out. We tried asking around the shops for anti flea for rats specifically and they said they don't have anything for rats. So my question is can I maybe use anti flea for other animals on him? What can I do for him?
Id appreciate some tips on rats from your personal experience (and please be kind to me I never in my life owned a rat)
