Is this a Kashmar 3.40x 2.45

Maybe I buy this rug but $900 seems to be a bit pricey. A guy told me it's a Tabriz but I don't think so.

What's your opinion about this rug?

Thanks

16 year old girl hitted by a tree during Saturday storm death.

This incident has given me much to think about.

It happened in Seefeld (Feldstrasse). The Girl was hit from a falling branch of an allegedly rotten tree during the stom. No word in the medias that such things shouldn't happen in a city where hundreds everyday walks under this tree . Clearly the tree was rotten and didn't stand during the storm. This could have happened after the storm, and it could have happened to anyone walking under this tree.

It makes me sad that such negligence in one of the wealthiest cities is allowed. The same with the overheated trams.

I wish the family and friends a lot of strength.

Isfahan 11.4 x 8.5

Bought this rug 4 years ago for $1000. I think it's an older Isfahan but maybe someone correct me?

It has no medaillon but floral vinery pattern. It's one of my favourite rugs of my collection and it's overall in good shape. In the near future I must stabilize the fringes to prevent flor erosion.

Today I noticed something about the carpet that worries me. While I vacumed the rug below the couch and I lifted it to look the back borders. Something looked odd. Some wool is missing on the back of the rug. Maybe moths eat chunks of wool and only warps and wefts left. Surprisingly the Flor seems intact. Also on one edge the same pattern. I freaked out and sprayed the back borders with vinegar. Could this be something else then moths? Thanks for the inputs.

Bokhara 9'2x 6'6

This rug I bought today from an online auction for $200 and got the little Sarough as a gift 'cause the fringes on the sides are beaten up ( the photos are from the auction and the damaged fringes haven't been photographed). The Flor seems overall intact . The seller labeled it as an Afghan Bokkhara but I think is more likely a Tekke Turkmen from the 70's 80's. What are your thoughts? I can already say that I overpaid it.

Bokkhara 6'6 x 9'2

This rug I bought today from an auction for $200 and got the little Sarough as a gift 'cause the fringes on the sides are beaten up (can't find the photos of the fringes). The Flor seems intact. It needs professional cleaning. The seller labeled it as an Afghan Bokkhara but I think is more likely a Tekke Turkmen from the 70's 80's. What are your thoughts? I can already say that I overpaid it.

Sarough approx 5x3'5 moth damage

I got this Sarough rug for free 'cause I bought another rug ( turkmen tekke)while viewing it on the spot has issues (damaged fringes).

My question is does this rug have likely an inactive moth damage or should I worry that this rug has still living moths that would also affect my other Persian rugs where are stored together?

Thank you.

Lilian 11x 7 ft

Bought this I suppose Lilian? rug for cheap. It has some issues: Flor two spots around 8x8 inches weared out, also Flor different reds one site orange other more red (could be abrash), fake fringes attached. Is it worth to get the rug professionally cleaned and maybe also do some minor repairs like reweave the weared flor? How old you think this rug is and it's a Lilian or another tribal persian rug? Thanks

Hi all

I bought this rug recently.

The rug seems pretty in good condition with no pile issues or damaged fringes. The blue wefts indicate an earlier American sarough. Could it also be a man Hester kashans or sarough Mohaijeran?

What you think it's worth and how old, which type of persian rug?Appreciate your opinio
