My supervisor offered me a job and quitely forgot about it.

I'm a mix of emotions right now. I'm angry, embarassed and relieved in a way.

I started a Masters in autumn and selected this supervisor because they were the only one sharing my particular interest. We had an intial chat just about what I wanted to do and they seemed very enthusiastic and basically confirmed they would take me and also spoke with me about several other possibilities.

Come the first official scheduled meeting, they explicitly mention that they have a grant and want me to do the work. Its with HR right now, but my supervisor will fill out the apllication for me and they want me to do it during summer. I was amazed. I didn't even know this person and they're offering me a job (in principal).

Months go by, and I don't hear anything. I get an email asking if I want to do some volunteering with them. It wasn't the same project, I said yes but I couldn't attend due to schedule.

More months go by. Today. It is a routine meeting. Firstly, they don't show up, so I'm already annoyed. They said they had another meeting overrun so can we reschedule in an hour. I, who woke up especially for the meeting and feels like shit, say yes no problem.

We have the meeting and talk about my draft, it looks good blah blah (they don't even remember anything about it), and then I ask about the job as I'm making plans for summer.

They act as if they don't know what I'm referring to, and mention another volunteering thing I could do this summer. I said no, this thing. They said oh that. X is finishing it up now, but you could join them on a voluntary basis if you would like.

....

Feel like an absolute mug. They were acting weird and evasive so I didn't push, I'd already tried my luck. Feel so annoyed. Its incredibly rude and unprofessional of them. At least I don't have to think about working with such an inconsistent amd wishy washy person.

To remove an opportunity from a student, in their field of work, with no communication is absolutely unacceptable and unprofressional. I never considered it a given and I never became fixated on it, I have other oppurtunities fortunately. I'm angry at the behaviour much more than about the job. Its classless.

Edit:

For those pointing to the "woke up especially for the meeting comment". You all know how hot it is in the UK right now, its hard to sleep. I was also out late last night collecting data for my project (on nocturnal animals). Before you make a comment on my character, stop, and think about the possible reasons further than "they must be a lazy student, typical". You really expose yourself as a judgemental and ignorant old fud when you do that.

Order suspended for over 40 days. How do I get my money?

I couldn't collect the order as the seller waited until the very last day to send and I was away the very weekend it arrived. It got returned and the process to refund was intiated. The transaction has been suspended for 40+ days and the seller is not responding to multiple requests to confirm that the item has been returned. How do I get my money?
