Can I get a injury by running a HM so severe that I won't be able to walk too ?

Howdyy Runners ! 🏃

I ran my first HM 2 weeks back...and I did it on very minimal practice and base.

Due to college final year I only did one long run, one 10k and one 5k two weeks prior to my HM.

Finished the HM in 2:40.

Now....2 weeks after the run, I have developed this mild-ish pain in my knee which is only there if I bend my knee, like during standing from sitting. It disappears when I run. Also it is not present while I walk or at rest.

I have my next HM this coming Sunday and again I will be going with very little practice.

I can go for the run, right ? I am assuming it is nothing serious .

Also , can I ever get an injury only by running till HM distances so severe that I won't be able to walk even ?

This really matters to me because my college is gruelsome and I really can't afford such an injury at any cost.

I will be very thankful.

Can a kind lady runner please collect my bib too for Tuffman Half Marathon Delhi ? 🥹

I have registered for 21k for the Tuffman Delhi HM scheduled for the coming Sunday ; but the thing is I will be coming from a different city for the run so it is impossible for me to come two days prior on Fri to collect my bib 🥹

Can a fellow lady runner doing a HM please collect my bib too along with hers ?

I will be thankful beyond limits 🌺

Also I can transfer money as a tip for the help if you will need.

I have specified "female" for obvious reasons hehe :P

I registered for Tuffman Half Marathon Delhi but now can't go.

Hey'all !

I had registered for 21 Kms in Tuffman Half Marathon Delhi which is scheduled on 23rd August.

Now unfortunately due to a gruelling schedule I'm sure I won't be able to make it.

Can someone please suggest what do I do now ?

Bib transfer ?

Edit : I can give good concession/discount.

Do all long distance runners share the same cause ? 😂

I recently did my first HM in an event so I posted about it here on this sub.

Basically ; I used to do running since March; I did a 10k then. I hadn't thought ever about escalating it to a HM, just did a 10k out of the blue.

Then June came and I faced the worst heartbreak of my life which legitly shattered my heart in a thousand pieces. Being a shy quiet kid the trauma was too much for me to handle and it came to me all of a sudden.

Ever since then I took out all the aggression into running and bam smashed my first HM with a podium finish.

After the post , someone texted me in my DMs here that what trauma motivated me to do long distance; and I was like WTF man how did you come to know SO DAYUMN accurately 😂⚡🔥

All those young people here in 20s; do y'all doing long distance for fun or to take out some pain ?

30s and 40s mein jo hai unka to samajh aata hai they doing it for recreationnnn
