NorOnTour - Leagues Cup vs Club América update

Heading to LA for the Leagues Cup knockout stage? Here’s what you need to know about tickets! 💛🖤✈️

Normally, NorOnTour tickets are handled directly through Nordecke. However, because Leagues Cup has set a strict deadline of this Friday, August 21, we are working directly with a purchasing link so you can buy right away.

Here are the details:

  • Seating: We were told tix will be $66/ea and we will be in section 106.
  • Ordering: The Crew are also promoting this through their website, which is the same link as you'll see below —there won't be a separate NorOnTour group section for this match.
  • Pregame Meetup: Once tickets are secured and we gauge group size, we’ll put together a pregame meetup plan and share the details with everyone making the trip!

UPDATE - the link is now live. You can order here. Go Crew! 👊

Can anyone suggest an Away-Fan meetup spot near Miami's new stadium?

The Crew are playing their first game at the new Nu Stadium (hehehehe), and we obviously don't know the lay of the land yet. Has one bar emerged as the de facto "away team bar"?

Columbus supporters 19, Cincy supporters 9

They said our days were numbered, we’re not famous anymore - but Columbus runs OHIO like we always have before!

Crew supporters win the first leg of the Schucks is Debatable supporter derby 19-9.

Thanks to everyone who came out and played! And to everyone who came out to cheer our roster on! And thanks to Cincy, who were great guests, good sportsman, and we can’t wait to visit them for Leg 2 in October.

Ohio is 🖤 & 💛!

🎶 Ohhhhhhh Steven Moreira 🎶

Steven freaking Moreira. Making it to the knockout round with a country that has 1/4 the population of metro Columbus. How freaking awesome is that?

He seems like such a genuinely nice guy. And all the people around the club I’ve spoken with say it’s legit, that’s not just a social media persona. He is that nice of a guy.

I am so excited for him!

Current/former Crew players are killing it in the World Cup!

We’ve had Moreira on the pitch for the entirety of one of the biggest upsets in WC history. Eloy Room had one of the best goalkeeping performances in WC history. Cucho has the assist of the tournament.

At this point, it might be smart to bet on Max Arfsten to score a brace against Türkiye.

My 68C Experience

My 22 Rubi hadn’t had any problems ever, so I delayed the 68C test until inventory levels had been built up. I took it in June 10 for a 5-tire rotation, and figured it was a good time to finally do that assessment - fully expecting my Jeep to pass since I hadn’t had any issues. The dealer called me a few hours later with the unfortunate news that it had failed and that Hertz already had a rental car waiting for me. The dealership had also already submitted the STAR paperwork to Jeep immediately after failing the test. (I have heard some dealerships take a few days to compile and submit the paperwork, which delays the entire process)

I immediately opened a case with Jeep Cares the next morning (June 11), requesting help expediting my case. I wasn’t sure this would help, but figured it couldn’t hurt.

On June 12 they emailed me saying the STAR paperwork had been approved, which was a little over 48 hours after my failed test. This meant replacement battery from their inventory was assigned to my VIN and is scheduled for shipment.

On June 16 (2 business days later) they emailed me that the battery had shipped.

On June 18 my dealership informed me that they had received the battery. This was 8 calendar days and 6 business days after failing the 68C test.

Caveat - the batteries ship from Detroit and there are very specific logistics requirements because the batteries are considered hazardous materials, which often slows shipments down. I’m lucky enough to live 3 hours from Detroit, which likely shortened my wait time. This wouldn’t be a realistic expectation for someone in California or Florida.

The dealership has me in queue for install, which should occur early next week. I expect to have my Jeep back in my possession within 14 days of failing the test.

So if you’re holding out, it feels like their process is finally caught up. My recommendations for anyone still needing 68C:

  1. Make sure your dealership has handled plenty and knows how to get the STAR paperwork asap if you fail; there’s no reason this documentation should take more than a couple hours to compile, and the process doesn’t really start until this is submitted.
  2. Open a Jeep Cares case number immediately. Ask for it to be expedited. This might speed up the process, and they’ll send you regular status updates.

All Remaining Away Game Tickets Available for Purchase

Tickets for all away games for the rest of the year are now posted! And unlike FIFA’s outrageous WC prices, you can attend our games without needing to sell a kidney on the black market!

3 games of particular note:

  1. What could be better than the North Carolina in August? Will it be 105 degrees? 115? 200? Who knows! But Mecklenburg Massive always hosts an amazing party, and then we get to find out which Crew player will get injured on Charlotte’s horrific turf.

  2. We get another weekend game in Nashville (last year was on a Wednesday game), which is always a popular destination. Nordecke will be partnering with Music City Massive for these pregame festivities.

  3. For the first time in several years, the Crew will be on the road for Decision Day! And this could be the Crew’s final ever trip to Bridgeview. Nordecke will again be partnering with 3-1-Crew on a great pregame!

(Note: one exception is Hell Is Real, which will again be a lottery - as with past seasons)
