Shepherd's Bush

Strange encounter at Sheppard’s Bush in Aurora

My husband was mountain biking through Sheppard’s Bush around 1 PM today when he saw what appeared to be a very tall older woman (maybe 50s/60s) with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a long, old-fashioned/Victorian-style red dress.

She was walking very slowly, alone, deep into the woods toward the far end near Sugarbush. He has been mountain biking for years and knows these trails well, so he doesn't get creeped out easily. He said this was one of the strangest/creepiest things he's ever encountered.

He wasn't actually planning to head that way, but said that if he had been planning to go down that trail, he probably would have turned around and gone another way. He biked right past her, but she never turned around or seemed to react to him.

We're just trying to figure out what he might have seen. Has anyone seen this person around Sheppard’s Bush, or have any idea what she might have been doing there?

How could this have happened?

We bought a box of Kirkland granola bars, and when we opened it, we were very surprised to find expired nutra grain bars. When we examined the box, we could see that it was retaped (but wouldn't have noticed unless we were really looking).

I thought Costco did not put returned products back on their shelves, and this was confirmed when we went to return it. We actually got a lot of heat for returning it to the point where a manager came out to talk to us. We eventually did get a refund but I wouldn't be surprised if our account is now flagged.

How could this have happened??
