Going back to football ⚽ at 40

So, I am pushing 40, and I live abroad. Basically I haven't played football for like 20 years and wasn't that good to begin with. I am from Argentina and I live in Asia, so I often get invited to play and in order to make friends, and the expectation is that I would be way way better than I actually am.

Lately I got in to this group of people Thay have been playing together for the last 20 years and I really stand out.

The first match and second match were actually quite ok, because I was playing very simple.

The third one I started trying to do a couple of more complicated things for a while.

The issue is that I ended up being shouted at the entire match even way after i re started playing simple.

They also rarely pass me the ball.

Also I was a bit nervous and showing it some guys would shout as soon as I get the ball.

Last time that happened, it was ten years ago, and I am a physically imposing guy. The guy shouting was right behind me. So I stopped suddenly and pushed body against him. Anyway, one thing led to another and I ended up breaking his arm.

This is of course not the situation I want. But I am a bit frustrated, and the even the though the other guys are nice to me outsiders of the field. The shouting inside the field and never passing the ball has left me feelings kind of embarrassed. (I am also the only non asian looking person in the group)

But at the same time, this group could be good for me job, because many people are of a similar industries and I have good opportunities.

Anyway, do you guys think I should just take the heat untill I improve enough to at least get the ball often enough when playing simple (and recover some of my conditing)

Or just avoid the problems and just stop showing up ?

Have you been in similar situations? Or met other guys in similar situations.

It should be noted That this is not competitive football ⚽. Just individual matches.

Have you checked to see if the reciprocal tarrifs are actually reciprocal?

I have found it very interesting that people keep referring to the tariffs as reciprocal.

I have done the comparison when it comes to weighted average tariffs from other countries, and for the most part they come way way lower than the supposedly reciprocal tariffs.

People mention things like value-added tax, but that is like a sales tax and applies regardless of whether the product is local or foreign.

It's true some countries like China have loads of non-tariff barriers that make importing harder regardless of the tariff price, but that is not generally the case with developed countries.

The tariffs were apparently calculated based largely on trade deficits rather than the actual tariffs charged by those countries (except for countries that had a surplus with the USA), and those were instead imposed a flat 15%.

Anyway, those reciprocal tariffs under IEEPA have now been deemed unlawful by the Supreme Court and will apparently be replaced by something else.

But just as a curiosity question, did you check whether it was true or did you just take Trump's word about the fact that they were reciprocal?
