Gitae Cleared a Peak Gen 0 Monster and Infinite UI—James Lee Could NEVER Replicate This
It's genuinely disgusting and sickening to even try comparing James to Gitae right now. Re-evaluating how absurd Jinyoung and his path are, it’s honestly bizarre to even think James could give Gitae a decent fight. Jinyoung in his path literally extracts the absolute best essence of every Generation 0 member—meaning Elite's speed, Gapryong's conviction, Baekho's brutality, and Shingen's strength and hardware... Imagine beating a guy like that, even after facing three versions stronger than Tom Lee? It’s sickening to even compare the two right now, I'm literally disgusted just having to type this out. James could never replicate Gitae's feat and it was made crystal CLEAR. It's worth noting that threshold users are stated to be on a whole different level, and Gitae beat two of them, plus a UI with no stamina limit copying the perfect body, AND two users with perfect copy. Even in his base form, Jinyoung could replicate conviction—the most broken ability in the entire series.

The Threshold and UI Feats Prove Gitae is On a Whole Different Tier

Gitae never believed James could beat Tom Lee (Analysis)
From the dialogue, it's explicit that Gitae didn't believe James could beat Tom Lee, which reinforces my belief that Gitae was the main contributor to Gapryong's death. It's worth noting that he helped James Lee with his training; most likely, they used to spar so James could get stronger. Based on these events, it's fair to say that Gitae was definitely superior to James Lee during that training. Taking into account that Gitae watched his growth, saw his talent, and still didn't believe he could beat the beggar
Do you guys think PTJ actually hates James Lee?
I know that in Korea, people aren't big fans of James and think Gitae is incredible as a villain and way stronger than James, but I don't think that would influence PTJ's writing. The question is: does PTJ really hate James? Only a delusional fanboy would think what happened in this arc is normal. Gitae looks millions of times stronger than James, and only the delusional fanboys will deny that.
What an absolute gap in power we just witnessed (Gitae vs. James)
My friends... what an absolute gap in power we just witnessed here. Gitae is way more of a monster than James, there's no comparison. Obviously, a fight isn't going to happen, but James's chances of beating a 100% healthy Gitae are literally worse than zero
The Power Abyss: Why Gitae Kim Left James Lee in the Dust
You have to be completely out of your mind to think James Lee is superior to Gitae after this chapter. Gitae thinks James is a joke, funny/ridiculous. Even Changsu himself, who was on James's side, already prefers to stand by Gitae after seeing what an aberration he is. The difference is so brutal that the mere fact that I need to comment on this is an absurdity. The funny thing is James's fans trying to say he's only standing there because he wants to, even though it's clear he took damage despite dodging Dogyu's attack, or that using his path has consequences. Plus, it looks like his right arm is broken.
Gitae Kim: The undisputed peak of the verse
Does anyone still doubt that this man is the absolute peak right now? I don't think so. It's insane what he did while fighting UI, perfect bodies, and path users
Answering honestly, without being a hater or a fanboy: do you actually see Gitae losing a 1v1 against any currently living character?
reddit.comDo you guys think Gitae is just evil, or was he molded into this by Gapryong?
I don't think this obsessive hatred for Gapryong is normal at all. The guy literally collects everything related to Gapryong and kills anyone who agreed with him... I'm positive Gitae's death will be tied to the 'romanticism' he hates so much, probably while saving his brother, Jake Kim. That would be peak writing from PTJ
James Glazers Better Skip This One
I keep looking at Jinyoung’s statement and thinking about how absurd Gitae's path actually is. The man literally fought an enhanced Daniel’s path; Jinyoung in round one copying Shingen + Gapryong (even copying conviction); UI Daniel with absolutely no limits on his durability, copying the perfect body and adjusting to his opponent's level; and Jinyoung extracting the absolute best out of every Pre-Gen user and turning it into his own techniques and stats... and despite all of that, they were only dealing superficial damage to Gitae. It’s disgustingly broken. James fans shouldn't even read this, because they know the chance of James taking Gitae down is zero, while the chance of him getting swallowed whole by Gitae is 200%

After all, what even is his limit?
This lore is heavy, because we already know he fought old Gapryong/Baekho and trained James.
Gitae's Path is literally called clinical depression
Gitae feels a massive loneliness and deep depression from never finding his limit, or any opponent who could actually push him there. Even after training James in Cheonliang, even after defeating a conviction-buffed Jichang, even after beating a UI Daniel with limitless stamina copying what was supposed to be 'the pinnacle of everything,' and even after fighting two Path users with perfect copies mimicking Shingen and Gapryong + conviction... he never reached it. The depression of being the strongest
Full Path > any character without a Full Path
I don't even know why there's still a debate about who is superior right now, whether it's the duo James and Gitae or Gun and Goo, when it's made crystal clear that characters with a completed Path are on a completely different level of reality. This was even stated by Jinyoung... It makes no sense to debate what’s already clear in the manga. There are only four characters in the entire history of Lookism with a full Path: Shingen, Gapryong, Gitae, and James. Could it change in the future? Yes, but currently there is no debate—James and Gitae are in a whole different reality
Gitae is Simply on Another Level
Sometimes I think about comparing Gitae to James, but then I remember that one beat a Tom Lee who didn't even have a path awakening in the end (and still needed to use his path against him), while the other beat enhanced-path Daniel, Jinyoung copying Shingen and Gapryong + conviction, Daniel copying the perfect body with no durability limits (the only one so far to beat UI without relying on its weakness), and on top of that, beat a path-using Jinyoung extracting the best traits of Gen 0 (that path is insane) and he was still laughing at the end, nowhere near his limit. This debate only exists in the head of a highly delusional fan
I would really love to see a fight between Gitae and James.
I'm sure that James fan is going to shit his pants, because the chance of him beating Gitae is zero—he’d get swallowed whole by the monster. It’s no wonder the only way he tries to control Gitae is through political means. James fans after he beats a Tom who had nothing but mastery and a unique technique: 'Oh my God, he’s the strongest! Fun fact: he actually needed to use his path
I love James, even if he is inferior to Gitae.
Even though the story places Gitae above in everything—feats, narrative, and statements—I still believe in the day that this will change. I am a dreamer! However, James is more handsome; I like more effeminate men.
I can rest easy knowing that in the Korean fandom, James vs. Gitae isn't even a thing
Thank God James fans will never be anything to Gitae where the series actually belongs: Korea. Gitae destroys James in every way, but fanboys will always be the laughingstock of the fandom.
Refuting fallacies regarding these Gitae quotes
Some people, clearly lacking any reading comprehension, kept forcing the idea that this Gitae quote was related to 'Path,' when it never was. The Korean fandom never even debated this. The real line is: 'He was a monster, on the same level as those guys.' It explicitly makes it clear that Gitae is on the level of Prime Gapryong and Shingen.
