Test Cyp vs Pellets - experience?
TL/DR - numbers on pellets are lower than Test Cyp without any drop in hemoglobin/hemocrit.
M65 started on TRT about 3 years ago. Starting #s were about 235 total T.
Xyosted got me up to 550, but insurance and prescriptions were spotty, and a 3 week gap dropped me to 95.
Started on Test Cyp with initially weekly injections, then to a split dose. After an initial spike of 1200….which felt great, O settled back into a range of 800-950.
About the same time I went on Medicare, my doc changed to a concierge model, so had to find a new one. This one recommended I shift to pellets, since Medicare coverage was easier, and Testopel had fewer side effects (didn’t raise hemoglobin/hemocrit).
Just got my numbers and my total T is at 495, and hemocrit:hemoglobin are still high 53.5/18.1. I can tell the difference from my higher T numbers, but I don’t feel bad, just not as good as when I was at 900.
I expect I’ll be told to start
donating again, but I was hoping to cut back on doing it every two months. Should I try to push for a higher dose,
try to find a covered doc, or just pay out of pocket and go back to injectionsm and back to donating 6 times a year?
