I recently inherited my dad's 1989 Mazda MX-6/Capella C2 GTX. We used to work on it when i was a kid. I'm 19 now, but since maybe 2022 we had been working on it slowly but surely, turning it into a racecar. He passed away last week and I am trying to figure out how to complete it on my own. I have a fair amount of automotive knowledge but I lack the specifics needed to complete a custom build like this. Dad had the FE3N motor professionally engineered to bring the compression ratio to 12.46:1 among some other things that i dont remember. The entire car has been stripped pretty much, but I've managed to put a few things back together. I've put the rear brakes, gear linkages, some body panels, intake, and all the suspension back together. The motor is mounted with the transmission. I've got his Haltech Elite 1500 ecu and some other bits. What I dont really know how to do is how to put everything back together in order to get it running. I'm aware of a few components that need replacing like axles, clutch slave cylinder, probably most of the rubber lines. It's been sitting since we swapped the motor in 2024 and I just recently moved it to my house not long after Dad passed. Does anyone have any advice on how to get it running and complete the build?
