My novel is getting an official Japanese serialization!

Hey everyone!

This is just a self-promo... But also a little more than that!

By the way, thanks to the people from these three subreddits who checked out my novel when it first came out! If you already know it and are still following along, thank you very much!

When I started writing, I always had Japanese light novels in mind. They're what I've always read the most. So imagine my surprise when my novel ended up receiving an official Japanese serialization by a professional Japanese translator. And if it does well, there might even be "further developments"!

I still can't quite believe it, to be honest. My novel has done well, but compared to the really big success stories, it's still quite modest.

Anyway, the Japanese release did unexpectedly well at first. I mean, it reached #19 in the daily isekai rankings! It was literally sitting between novels with anime adaptations I'd actually watched. Can you believe that? I still can't, haha.

Obviously, since it's only just starting out in Japanese, things cooled off pretty quickly. I mean, it was competing with giants that have manga, anime, and 300+ chapters, so I think it's pretty understandable that it has already disappeared from the rankings.

Still! The dream lives on!

So I wanted to share my novel here in case you haven't read it yet. And if you end up liking it, it would mean a lot to me if you could also bookmark the Japanese version.

Only if you actually like the story, of course! I don't want anyone supporting it just to game the rankings.

I'll leave links to both the English and Japanese versions below. If you're looking for something to read, please give it a chance!

And sorry to repeat myself, but if you do like it, a bookmark on the Japanese version and some reactions on the chapters would be very much appreciated!

TITLE:

The God of Death Just Wants to Quit?!

SYNOPSIS:

Nerez no longer remembers the name he had when he was just an ordinary human on Earth. It has been far too long since a literal date with destiny, or rather with the Goddess of Fate, condemned him to wander the sea of souls through a thousand different lives.

All he wanted now was to escape the endless cycle of reincarnation and enjoy one peaceful last life. But just when freedom seemed within reach, he found himself in the midst of a divine battle royale for a newborn world.

Can the nascent god of death find peace and tranquility in immortality? Or will his new domain, servants, and the ever-troublesome mortals make his life impossible?

And even now, the looming shadow of the one who cursed him in the first place still lingers. But was it really a curse? Perhaps the Goddess of Fate had plans of her own...
