Are there any tests that can be done to determine if CMPI is still an issue in a toddler?

We were diagnosed at 4months with blood and mucous stools, projectile vomiting, reflux, failure to thrive etc.
I cut dairy and soy and added allergy formula and baby suddenly started getting better. I _thought_ we had outgrown the issue at 15 months ish after our third attempt at the milk ladder, we failed 2 times on yoghurt with the return of mucous poo.

However, my guy is very almost 3 now and I have a 7 month old on solids, and I’m starting to think that my eldest may have never actually had normal poo in his life and maybe I’ve just been missing it?

He had foul smelling gas always, baby does not and never has. I think he’s bloated? But I assumed it was just toddler beer belly and the fact his still has diastasis recti. He poos every other day, but it is always foul smelling and always loose. I didn’t really realise when he was in nappies because you’re close so of course it smells bad, and it’s in a nappy so of course it’s cakes everywhere.

But my 7 month old’s poo is not like this, it’s firmer, less smelly, smoother. It’s even more apparent now we have nappy trained and the poo is in the toilet, the only time my body produces stool that looks like his is when I am unwell.

However he is bright, energetic, happy, always running and jumping, has a great appetite, a high weight and height percentile (proportional to himself), and doesn’t seem in pain or bothered by the poo. So I don’t know if this is just his body’s normal. Or if something is going on.

Is there anything I can do to see if this is still at play that isn’t just cutting dairy completely?

How many kinders should we be applying to?

I’m new the the Australian education system, we’re in VIC and have been going to kinder open days and are going to put our 3 choices in through our council’s Kindergarten Central Registration System which says choices need to be in before the start of June.
It says to put in 3 choices ranked, but you can also apply to independent kinders.

Is 3 choices enough? Or should we also be putting in applications for other independent kinders? We’re keen on it just being a kinder rather than a long day care.
