Hi! Me and my husband (25m & 24m) recived a letter saying our benifits will end on may 31st due to lack of income and self employment reporting? My husband has been on medicaid 2 years, and i am on my parents inurance still. We make aprox 21,000 per year and that income has stayed the same since before he was even on medicaid. We are both disabled and in the process of getting on SSI and started this process around November of 2025, and the paper work has been submitted since January. We are just waiting. My husband has bipolar 1 with psychosis & severe paranoia and absoutly NEEDS his medication. I have level 2 autism and CRPS, however im self employed. My parents help support us and about 3/4 of that income is from their support and the other 1/4th is from my self employment. I am also a full time college student, and hope for ssi to be temporary for me, but my parents wanted me to apply because they cannot support us to this extent sustainably. This income was reported when he applied for medicaid. Weve also been married a year & did not have any issues with medicaid. My husband does not work.

Im confused why we recived this letter? We didnt get anything asking for updated bank statements or information. And our income, employment, housing etc has not changed. our SSI applications have been in for almost 6 months at this point.

Is it possible we just missed the letter? Is there something im missing? Will we be able to just submit what they need and get the coverage back or will we have to fully reapply? We have a case manager who can help us but she didnt have an appointment until after the 31st. We are very freaked out by this and confused :[

We have a senior kitty (15yo) that we adopted about a year & a half ago. He is the sweetest little guy, very friendly and a big lap cat, and generally has no other behavioral issues. Hes been just generally very good since we got him, which makes this odd.

We have two other kitties, 5yo & 6yo female torties weve had since they were babies. All 3 get along well excluding occasional scuffles (usually just play fighting & one wants to stop). None of them of behavioral issues beyond this- my husband doesnt work & i work from home (& am a college student) so they are with at least one of us 90% of the day.

Our senior (Marx) however is OBSESSED with human food. Like genuinely obssessed. + my husband and i are vegan which is... odd that he wants our food? Theres not any one particular thing he goes after- if he knows were eating he is like extreamly relentless. Hes stolen food directly out of our hands before, and hes huge (not fat just BIG. We think he has ragdoll in him lol) so its kind of difficult to keep it away from him. Like i cannot stress how determined he is. Hes not agressive (like he dosent bite or scratch) but he is extreamly persistent & will steal food out of your hands or mouth. Like 100% of the time.

Its to a point where we cant eat near him- because literally nothing will distract him and he will make us spill & drop stuff. When we eat we usually lock him in the master bedroom but he is very upset by this and meows very sadly the whole time, even if its only a few minutes for a snack :[

Ive read that sometimes its a nutrional deficit, but i guess im confused by that with him because he will eat ANY human food (hes tried to eat like raw vegetables too). And his sisters are fed the same as him but dont do this. If anything he gets more food because we have a puzzle feeder (in addition to his regular meals) & hes the only one of the three to have figured it out.

Also obligatory note our cats are not vegan lol. So hes not on some weird diet. He eats iams salmon dry food, occasional wet food (the generic petco brand) and all thebabies get regular treats. The milk flavored temptations ones.

Does anyone know why he does this? Could he still be missing something? Or maybe his previous owners encourged this behavior some how? And is there any way to work on it beyond eating away from him? We always feel horrible putting him in the bedroom with the meowing the whole time but its the only decently sized space & nothing will distract him.

Hello! I apologize this isn't denver but wasn't sure where else to ask haha. Me & my husband are going to Glenwood springs next week while I'm on a breif college break- for 3 days at the hotsprings resort. Never been before, and we're both vegan so wanna make sure we have food options. Im allergic to cashews but other than that were not picky lol. Though anything fancy-ish (but still semi-college student budget friendly lol) would be nice!

Any recommendations?
