Preventing Rug on Carpet from Bunching up
Hi! We decorated our toddler’s room in our new home and got a very cool rug that compliments the design aesthetic. However, within days of laying it down, we noticed it buckling, slipping, bunching up on the wall to wall carpet we have inherited from the previous owners.
I tried putting two sided adhesive pads on the four corners, didn’t work at all. Every nonslip solution I have come across online is basically targeting hardwood or tile floors. Customer reviews on Gemini’s recommendations (double sided carpet tapes, certain rug pads) also complain about the product not working well on carpeted floors. I am about to lose my mind because I cannot be the only person on the face of earth who wants to put a rug on a carpet and has had this issue.
Would greatly appreciate if anyone has a serious solution that doesn’t involve ripping out the entire carpet.
