Gambling refund

I’ll try not to make this too long but Iv been gambling ever since I turned 18 2 yrs ago. My addiction has got worse and worse over time and I can’t control it anymore. I have spent thousands of pounds on sports betting and on matches I have no clue about and I’m always chasing losses.

Long story short I registered on GAMSTOP back in November 2025 and I went on for a few months gamble free and I was banned from every betting app. However a couple months ago for some odd reason I created a William hill account because the addiction just got to me I try my best to control it but it got me and so I signed up to William hill wondering if my details will work and all I did was switch my first and surname around and had the same house address ,same DOB, same phone number and somehow the account was created and right from there the addiction took over my mind and I just started depositing hundreds and hundreds of pounds daily and winning then losing winning then losing. Eventually it got to a point where I had lost almost of my money and currently only have a few hundred pound to my name.

I spoke to my friend about this and what I had done and he did a bit of research and told me I could claim for a refund on all my deposits because of William hill allowing the same exact details to work and to be able to create a new account and deposit loads of money without any verification checks. I have raised a complaint with William hill and they have received my GAMSTOP registration certificate and it’s been 19 days since I started the complaint and this is all still under review. I was told that if they are in the wrong I will be refunded my total deposits.

So I’m just here to ask , do u guys think William hill should refund me? I know some people in the comments will slander me and say things like “if u get refunded you will just waste it again” but honestly I’ll be adding even more blockers on to my phone to prevent me from gambling. It’s hard to control this when you have a serious gambling addiction but I do try my best to fight it off.
