Are property teams still relying on spreadsheets and WhatsApp for daily operations?

Over the past few months, I’ve been speaking with a few people working in property and building management, and one thing I keep noticing is how difficult operations become as things start scaling.

A lot of teams are juggling maintenance requests, tenant communication, rent tracking, visitor logs, and internal coordination across multiple tools and conversations. It works at first, but eventually things start slipping through the cracks.

Recently, I worked on a property management platform concept focused on simplifying these workflows through centralized systems and automation.

Genuinely curious to hear from people in the industry.

What operational challenge takes up the most time for your team right now?

Maintenance coordination? Communication? Reporting? Something else?
