Looking classy AF

I've admired the Speedmaster Moonwatch since I was a kid when was kind of a space nut. As I got older, my tastes in watches grew and eventually got into collecting. I started with a few Hamiltons, which I think are great gateway drugs into watch appreciation. I love my Murph and Boulton, but always aspired for an Omega. I eventually bought a Longines Zulu Time. It's a great watch and the bump up in quality from Hamilton was noticable. When I eventually had money for an Omega I went with the Seamaster 300 Heritage since it really spoke to me and has everything I wanted. But after seeing so many Speedys, that old sense of the moonwatch's history came back to me and I realized I needed to add one to my collection. Last month I was lucky to get the sapphire sandwich and it's really everything people say it is. I still love my Seamaster 300 too and it make a great companion to the Speedmaster.

Also: the book lives up to the hype too.

After being a happy Seamaster 300 Heritage owner, I was recently gifted my second Omega. The iconic Speedmaster Pro sapphire! I thought Tuesday was the right time to show it off.

Do I feel like a master of the sea or a master of speed?

Sorry, I couldn't wait until Tuesday!! I love my Seamaster 300 Heritage so much I decided to give it a brother. After deliberating between the white sapphire, the hesalite and the black sapphire, I went with the black. I just couldn't resist being able to see that beautiful movement! I liked the white too, but my wife wasn't a fan with how it looked. That convinced me this was the one. It's really a beautiful watch. Every bit of praise people give it is 100 percent true.

Also, shout out to the Tampa, Florida Omega Boutique. Zach talked through all the options and Megan closed the deal. They were great.

Let's see, there are many reddit watch flexes. There's the common steering wheel + watch flex, the gun/knife + watch flex (still don't get that one) the sexy cocktail + watch flex, the using your watch as a tool flex, but I don't think I've ever seen the reading + watch flex.

Haven't seen many Heritage Seamasters on here in a bit. I'm coming up on a year of ownership on this and have loved it. Super comfortable to wear and I still love looking at it. When I got it, I thought I was done, but like a lot of watch obsessives on here, I've realized that's probably not going to happen. I'm thinking if I do get another watch it will be a Speedy. However, I recently tried on a Breitling Top Time and was very impressed. Breitling was not a brand on my radar at all.

I already own a Seamaster 300 Heritage that I love (along with a Longines and two Hamiltons). As everyone here knows one watch is never enough. I'm in Rome with my daughter and came across the Omega Boutique where I tried the Speedmaster on. Of course I know this watch and like it, but I never thought I'd want one. Feeling it on and seeing it person changed my mind. Buying it here in Italy probably doesn't make sense. Even if I were to go through the VAT refund at the airport and paid the customs fee, it would probably be much the same price as in the states, but should I?

My wife and daughter bought me this seven months ago after a big life changing time for me. It's always been my grail watch. After seven months it has kept perfect time and remains the go to watch in my collection.
