AMW vs Informed World

Now that comp maps have rotated, it feels like game play in AMW and Informed feel very different.

AMW was mostly “They found info, but I found a better one” or “We both had the same info, but I used it better”

Informed feels more like “I found info, but they didn’t” or “We both didn’t get info. I had a better region guess”

Today I got a loc in Informed World on a highway in Norway, where one way had the best info you can possibly get (road no., distances to multiple large cities) and the other way was absolutely garbage.

It probably comes down to a matter of preference but which do you think is a better comp map?

I personally like the Informed because there’s a good chance of getting a rural enough round to make an insta-guess to force a no-move game.

And the AMW just felt too info heavy in a sense that every game seemed like a simulator

second cat: 2m old boy

first cat: 11m old girl

We got our second one about 3 weeks ago, been slowly introducing each other but we have made absolutely zero progress. Rather, things seem getting worse. For reference we’ve been keeping them in a separate room for almost the entire time, except when we hold controlled meetings.

At first, we started showing the kitten, kept inside a cage, to our resident through a fence 10ft away (this was after we did scent trading for a week). No problem here, just a sign of curiosity.

We decided to take it a step further and got rid of the fence in one of their encounters. This was when it took a downturn, and the resident started punching the kitten’s cage.

This went on for a few sessions, and our resident started peeing all over the house. We consulted our vet, and they said she’s stressed out anyway so we should give up on the slow approach and just let them be together.

So we did, and as you may already know, they got into a fight almost instantly to a point where we gave up because it clearly didn’t look safe.

Now we‘re doing few minute sessions where we’d let the resident sniff the kitten, held by us, and give treats if she didn’t punch. But this few minutes seems like the furthest we can keep them from getting in a fight.

Our resident is still peeing all over the house, and I am honestly starting to regret the idea of getting a second cat.

I want to be responsible for my second cat, but it just feels like there’s no way out of this situation. Is there anything I can do to help? Our vet says most of these problems will naturally resolve overtime, but is this really true? Has anyone given up on letting cats be together and keep them in separate rooms?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.
