How do you guys pay attention in Zoom meetings?

I work at a small company where we are often 3 or 4 in a meeting. I have an entry level job so not much is required of me in meetings so i zone out constantly. Then i get asked a question and i have no idea what they were talking about which of course, is a bad look. I assume i also look like I have zoned out but i have no way of telling.

What do you guys do to stay focused?

Coming to terms with the reality i might end up alone

I 35F have only been in one long term relationship in my life. The rest have been short lived relationships or situationships that were overall disappointing. There was also about 4 years after i turned 30 that i didnt date at all as i had too much going on (family illness, caregiving, mental health problems etc).

Now at 35 I have been trying to date again but i find that i dont get a lot of matches and it is difficult for me to genuinely connect with someone. It is even harder because i am surrounded by happy couples and i would love that for myself but I just cant seem to make it work.

Idk i just feel a bit defeated and that I might just meant to be alone.

Bottled water consumption

I come from a poor country where the water is unsafe to drink by itself. We deal with that by mostly boiling water regularly and storing it in jars. More middle class people have started buying refillable water dispensers but its not so common.

Having lived in the US and Europe, something that surprises is me a lot is the consumption of bottled water despite living in countries where the water is safe to drink and water quality is closely monitored. I LOVE that when I am in these countries, I just have to open the tap and I immediately get drinkable water without having to think about it.

So it is confusing to me to see people buying up bottled water for their homes when they have safe water right next to them.
