Is it too late to apply for Germany Winter 2026 intake?

Hey everyone,

I recently completed my IELTS, so I’m only starting my Germany application process now. I haven’t applied to any universities yet and wanted to know whether I’m already late for the Winter 2026 intake.

I’m planning to apply for Master’s programs in Chemistry. Most of my documents are ready, including APS, and I’ll start applying soon.

For those who applied previously:

  • Are good universities still open for applications?
  • When did you start applying?
  • Is the visa timeline still manageable if applications are started now?

Also, if anyone here is applying for Chemistry-related programs, feel free to share your experience or suggestions.

Thanks!

IELTS 6.5 Overall — Should I Retake or Move Forward?

Hey everyone, I recently received my IELTS Academic results and I’m unsure whether I should retake the exam or move forward with these scores.

My scores:

  • Listening: 7.5
  • Reading: 6.0
  • Writing: 7.0
  • Speaking: 6.0
  • Overall: 6.5

I feel a bit disappointed with Reading and Speaking because I expected slightly better scores there, especially Reading since I usually performed better in mock tests.

I wanted to ask:

  • Is a retake worth it for improving a couple of modules?
  • Has anyone improved from 6.0 to 7.0 in Reading or Speaking?
  • What strategies or resources helped you improve?
  • Would you personally retake with these scores?

I already have most of my application documents ready, so I’m trying to decide carefully before booking another test.

Any advice or personal experience would really help. Thanks! Please approve this post

Need an urgent advice....please help

Hi everyone, I have my IELTS academic exam tomorrow. Could anyone who recently attended the test please share how the modules were?

Especially:
• In Listening, were the answers mostly “no more than one word,” “two words,” or “three words”?
• Was the Listening similar to Cambridge practice tests or more difficult?
• How was the Reading section? Was it reasoning-based or manageable?
• How were the Writing topics and Speaking questions?
• Overall, was the exam level similar to Cambridge books or harder? Please approve

It would really help me. Thank you!

Last minute preparation for ielts

24 hours left for my IELTS exam and I genuinely feel lost, especially in Writing.

Reading and Listening are manageable for me, but Writing Task 2 is making me panic. I keep overthinking ideas, repeating words, and running out of time. Sometimes I read Band 7/8 samples and feel like my English is nowhere near that level.

Right now my confidence is so low that I honestly feel like I can’t even achieve a 6 in IELTS writing. Every time I practice, I notice grammar mistakes or weak ideas, and it makes me feel worse.

At this point, I’m not aiming for perfection. I just want to write clear essays and somehow get the score I need.

For people who struggled before their exam:

  • Did you also feel like this?
  • Is simple English enough for Band 6/6.5?
  • What helped you most in the final 24 hours?
  • Any advice for staying calm during the test?

Would really appreciate honest advice because I feel mentally exhausted right now.

Urgent IELTS Writing Help Needed

Hi, my IELTS exam is on May 14, and I urgently need guidance for Writing Task 2. I struggle to generate ideas quickly during the exam. Is there any simple method, structure, or template I can follow for almost any essay topic? Also, how do I think of relevant points immediately without wasting time? Any tips or resources for band 6/7 writing would really help me. Thank you.

Hi everyone,

My IELTS exam is in 7 days, and I’m feeling quite stressed about whether I can achieve an overall 6.5.

My current mock test scores are roughly:

  • Reading: 6.5–7 (today I scored 7.5 in a mock)
  • Listening: around 6.5–7
  • Speaking: usually around 6–6.5
  • Writing: definitely my weakest section

I feel especially anxious about Writing because my scores are inconsistent, and I’m not sure what the most effective strategy is during the final week.

At this point, would you recommend:

  • focusing more on task structure and coherence,
  • memorizing useful sentence patterns,
  • practicing under timed conditions,
  • or getting essays evaluated daily?

If anyone was in a similar situation and managed to achieve 6.5 overall, I’d really appreciate hearing what helped most during the last few days before the exam.

Any proven strategies, final-week routines, or advice for improving Writing efficiently would be very helpful. Please approve this post.

Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m preparing for IELTS and my exam is in 9 days. I’ve been studying consistently, but I’m feeling quite anxious about my current performance.

My scores are roughly:

  • Listening: 6.5–7.5
  • Reading: 6–6.5 (sometimes drops to 5.5)
  • Writing: weakest area
  • Speaking: around 6.5

I’m aiming for an overall 6.5 or 7. Based on my current level, is this realistic? What should I prioritize in these final days, especially for writing and reading?

Any practical advice, strategies, or common mistakes to avoid would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I’m taking my IELTS exam in the next 12 days and I’m honestly feeling a bit stressed about whether I can hit my target score in time.

My current scores are roughly:
Listening – 7.5
Reading – 6
Writing – 5.5
Speaking – 6.5

Is it realistically possible to improve enough within 12 days to get a good overall band? I can’t go for a retake, so this attempt really matters for me.

Also, what should I focus on the most during these last days? Any specific do’s and don’ts, strategies, or last-minute tips that actually worked for you?

Would really appreciate honest advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Thanks a lot!

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to take my IELTS exam this week, but I’m a bit anxious about timelines since it’s already May.

If I don’t get my target score in the first attempt and need to retake IELTS, will there still be enough time to apply for the winter intake? Or would that delay things too much and push me to the next intake?

Also, I have a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate from my university. Can I apply initially using the MOI and then submit my IELTS score later? Do universities usually accept that or give conditional offers?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this or has clarity on it. Anybody please clarify .Please approve this post

Thanks in advance!
